Google Bad Review 1: I have a mixed experience with this branch. The eye test went completely fine, until after my appointment I had a store member tell me off for coming in for an eye test when their covid guidelines state that appointments are for medical emergencies only. I told him that this wasn't mentioned to me by a member of staff before coming in for my appointment and that the Boots Opticians website doesn't state this either. He then proceeded to repeat the same thing and said that I shouldn't have come in as I could have put him or his staff at risk. Before the eye test took place, the optometrist did mention that they were taking emergency appointments only and I had told her that I have noticed changes in my vision that I would like to get checked out as it's starting to bother me, to which she replied that's fine and a valid reason and proceeded with the appointment. So I have no idea why this particular staff member felt the need to tell me that I could've put his staff at risk and felt that's such an unprofessional and unfair thing to say to a patient. Left my appointment feeling very unhappy and embarrassed as this conversation happened on the shop floor where other people could hear.

Google Bad Review (2): WORST EXPERIENCE. I STRONGLY RECOMMENDE TO AVOID AND USE DIRECT BOOTS NOT THE FRANCHISE
• Prescription lenses ordered came with blind spot and wrong lenses parameters, all these causing headaches and hugh discomfort.
•They refused additional eye test even after reporting issues with the new glasses.They have only meassured the glasses and commented that there is no need to do that as everything is “spot on” from their side.
• Sunglasses lenses orginally came in the wrong shade. Ordered again and had to wait another few weeks. This still can't be verified as usable due to the problem with actual glasses that hasn't been resolved.
• In result of their incorrect eye test outcome and vision issues through the glasses provided we have decided to try another Optician as I couldn't trusted what they been saying. Went to the REAL Boots Stratford Westfield. Optician there confirmed glasses fault (blind spot in the left lense) and recommended new stronger glasses to be ordered asap!
•I have requested to transfer my case and my payment to Boots Optician in Westfield (request refused) and commenting on it ” if anything wrong with prescription glasses that will be their Opticians( Boots Westfield Optician) fault and they not taking responsibility for that” .This is another reason why you should avoid this place.This was simple not a comment expected from Boots brand representative.
• They have reordered again new lenses based on new prescription which arrived after 2 weeks with mechanical fault in the left glass(pic/video attached) No quality check before giving the glasses out to the customer is an another concern.
Waisted energy and time and still fighting for refund.
Don't do the same mistake and buy elsewhere.
