Google Bad Review: My mum who is 89, has had this agency for the past five years. Over that time she has received some outstanding care. Carers that have been patient, understanding, that have gone far and beyond of what they needed to do.
Unfortunately the last few months, the turn around of carers, has been high. The training has been poor(even we’ve had to show them what to do) and basic understanding of what an elderly person needs, including conversation, is not being met. We’ve complained, only to be told, in so many words, our hands are tied- we just haven’t got the staff.
My mum has carers four times a day, seven days a week. She can now have up to six different carers in that time. Weekends are a hit or miss! Which can be very confusing for her, especially, when put to bed for nearly 12 hours.
We are now paying for two weeks private care, to give her some peace of mind, of who’s there to support her with her basic needs, while we look into other options for her care.
