Google Bad Review 1: I arrived right on time for my haircut. Unfortunately a member of staff was very unwelcoming. Due to comments made, I was made to feel extraordinarily unwelcome. It was very upsetting and I do hope they take a look at how they treat customers. Was really looking forward to having my haircut, sad it couldn’t happen. Very disappointed.

Google Bad Review (2): I have been a long term and loyal client to the main stylist Ahmet.
However I have become bitterly disappointed. My hair is coloured as well as highlighted.
He suggested I had keratin treatment to improve the condition of my hair, without warning me that the highlights would change colour. The change was dramatic! They were yellow!! But I don’t complain easily. He knows that.
Anyway, I paid the full amount of 200£ plus 55£ extra for special sulphate free shampoo, and went back three days later for the application of toner , to make the highlights less yellow .
I made it clear I wanted my hair with highlights, although not yellow.Definitely he did not communicate with me that he was planning to cover my whole hair with a dark colour, that was his amateurish way of ‘fixing’ my highlights!!
When the assistant stylist started applying toner all over my hair, mixing it with the darker ( root ) colour I asked again , insisting that I wanted my highlights!!
Ahmet , the senior stylist, ‘reassured’ me saying it’s going to be ok!!
The truth is – you guessed it, it was not ok, far from
My hair, from vibrant highlighted long hair, has been made dark mousy colour, no highlights, a complete waste of 250+ 100£. A total of 350£ down the drain plus my hair colour is ruined.
I am a doctor , working hard to earn this cash.
When I called the salon straight after leaving to complain, I got no apology, neither did Ahmet take responsibility for his mistakes. No
He said ‘ I am trying to help you , darling’!!
Completely unapologetic.
He said ‘Keratin is done now, forget it!! Wash your hair once or twice and see how you go’!!!
Unbelievable.
I have never written a negative review about anyone.
But this is outrageous. Plus I have ( had ) lovely hair. Not getting used to having it ruined!!!
Do not risk going there for anything but the simplest thing. I wouldn’t.
I would be lucky enough to get an apology, let alone get my money back
And as for my hair .. it would take a while before I trust a hairdresser again!!
PS Following numerous phone calls to the owners of the salon, and despite their promises that the manager will give me a call, there has been no phone call and no meaningful gesture of apology.
They have written a response to my review in order to be seen to be apologetic.
However, the only thing I am left with is completely ruined ‘beige’ hair colour, no highlights, and no real possibility to fix my hair colour without chemically treating it which after keratin , ruins it!!
Belsize hair, if you are a decent honourable business, you should refund me the 250£ for the keratin treatment which ruined my colour.
I am still awaiting for the manger to do that. As for going to the salon, I wouldn’t trust them with my hair- once the trust is broken …
But will you please at least refund me the cost of the ‘treatment’ that ruined my hair ???
