Google Bad Review 1: I have been contemplating whether to write this review for a few weeks now, I don't like to complain, but thought I should share my recent experience at the salon. This isn't the first time unfortunately that I have been dissatisfied with the technicians work but he was the only one available. I had nail tips with either gel or acrylic applied. The technician didn't fit correct sized tips on some of my nails and when I pointed this out I was told it was ok. The tips were not applied or shortened straight, hence they look crooked. The application wasn't filed evenly and looked thick. I was asked how I wanted them shaped, I said I prefer a square look. They were filed to be more rounded I assume in an attempt to make them appear straighter. I'm sad to say it's not the first time this technician has burnt me with the drill. It hurt and consequently made me jump, I knocked the nail selection ring off the table, the tech tapped my hand quite firmly to pay attention. I felt quite uncomfortable and not able to say anything at the time. On this occasion my nails weren't finished with the cuticle oil that is normally applied. I decided to pop in a spoke to another tech the following day about my concerns as I wasn't really happy and was asked to return later that afternoon to speak to the owner, which I was happy to do. I tried to reiterated my concerns and the owner offered to rectify the problems. My nails were filed and down again, another application of gel was added in an attempt to give my nails a square appearance. I don't suppose, as the tips were applied crooked, much could be done to achieve a straighter looking nail. Now a few weeks on you it is noticeable that the tips were the wrong size, and fitted crooked. I am quite disappointed, having paid £35.00 for an experience I previously enjoyed on many occasions and looked forward to, sadly this time I didn't.
