Google Bad Review 1: Quite bad experience. Confirmed a last minute appointment via email on a previous case, already had seen a barrister before, all was fine, then when I turned up they forced me to pay on the spot in front of them otberwise they wouldn't let me have the appointment.
No flexibility at all or had the thought to maybe send an invoice after meeting since it was last minute?
My experience with the barrister in court was a waste of time, he didn't question the judges position and even forgot my full instructions of my position.
Very disappointing.
Be careful who you pick to represent you.

Google Bad Review (2): My experience with Paul Richard Tapsell barrister of Beckets Chambers Canterbury Innovation Centre University
Road Canterbury and solicitor Simon Levack of Ratcliffes Solicitors 22 Park Road Sittingbourne
I found them to be devious and manipulating, they failed to do their job or report in 2015 the Local Planning
Authority for their unlawful acts
they failed to challenge the Planning Inspector Tim Belcher at the Public Inquiry regarding his unlawful acts
Ratcliffes solicitors were instructed to get a barrister of Queens Counsel level to defend. Simon Levack said he
knew of a barrister of 20 years standing and an expert in planning law ( Mr Paul Tapsell a friend of his from
childhood).
I have found out that Paul Tapsell is a jobbing barrister with no expertise in any field.
I asked for advice to appeal the Planning Inspector’ refusal, that I had 28 days to lodge. I received it 6 days before I
was out of time and two of those were a weekend. Paul Tapsell said this advice was free, he then charged £720 00
Simon Levack and Paul Tapsell were party to deceiving her ladyship Whipple at the application for the appeal 13 9 18
Likewise Giles Atkinson for The Local Planning Authority of 6 Pump Court Temple London EC4 Y7AR was fully aware
when he presented the papers before Her Honour they contained forged documents etc..
Because of Paul Tapsell’s conduct at the Inquiry I made enquiries and found he had been working for Canterbury
City Council in planning for approximately 20 years at the same time running my case.
When I told Simon Levack what I had found out he said he had told me this before he took the case on,
this never happend, I found out by the Freedom Of Information from Canterbury City Council. I would never have
had Paul Tapsell work for me had I been told
I found them both to be failures, I rate them the lowest end of their profession, and should be struck off for bringing
their professions into dis-repute. Their unlawful conduct as cost in excess of £40, 000
