Google Bad Review: There's only 2 good things about this company; firstly you get to meet some of the nicest people you'd ever meet, people that you'd hope to remain friends with forever and secondly the fact that work is very flexible – great for students. But, unfortunately that's where it stops. Everything else about this company is pure BULL!. THEY ARE VERY INCONSIDERATE TOWARDS THEIR WORKERS. On the training day, they stress that if you are ill, even if you have to cancel the day of, you should do so since we are in constant contact with food, but when it comes down to this situation you've got the booker giving you mouth over the phone then demanding to fine you even though they have reserves to cover your shift. But when the tables are turned, its ok for them to cancel the day before your shift without any explanation.
AYS have favourites, and if you're not one of them, I really feel for you. You will receive the worst shifts, shifts that are 2 hours away from you finishing at 3 am with no means of getting home, but of course they don't care about that, whilst the bookers give their mates all the good shifts with the best roles possible.
I don't want to make it seem like all the bookers are horrible because they really aren't, bookers like Holly,Charlotte,Valerie,Carly,Mary and Tessa. most of the women bookers are really sweet but beware of the male bookers, don't know his name and don't really care to know it but he is incredibly rude. not giving a damn about what other people are going through and almost comes across as heartless and rather impertinent.
Additionally, similar companies pay there workers almost double than what AYS do.
My advice is to apply at your own risk, but don't say i didn't warn you!
