Google Bad Review 1: My treatment was booked for 10.30am. I arrived at 10.15am to fill out any forms that needed filling out, and to avoid rushing before the massage. At 10.36am there was still no sign of anybody, so I called the number I found in my confirmation text. “Take a seat”, said the voice, no apologies, no explanation, no indication of how long it might take. I already started feeling very uncomfortable and anxious at this point.

The therapist finally turned up, opened the door and with a sideways movement of the head told me to enter. Again, no “sorry for being late” or “thank you very much for waiting”. No smile. NOTHING. I even managed to get reprimanded for not being able to work out the headrest of the massage bed because it kept falling off. The room reminded me of a student's halls of residence.

My treatment started 15 minutes late. I would rate the massage itself 7 out of 10. I have had many massages in various settings in many different countries, but in terms of ambience, this experience was close to zero.

It makes me sad to have to leave a review like this because ideally I shouldn't have to, but this time I felt compelled to leave a comment. Maybe the therapist was having a bad day, but the client should not have to endure bad service.

I don't mind people running late. I know it can happen to anyone. But basic manners, a sense of humour and a smile can go a long way. I regret to report that none of these could be found in this therapist.

Google Bad Review (2): I'm so disappointed in this business. I booked a bikini wax online, but unbeknownst to me there were train strikes that Saturday and this impacted my journey. I called the salon 2 hours ahead of my appointment to give them notice that I wouldn't make the original time and to see if they could fit me in at a later time. No one answered the phone, I continued to get a voicemail – so naturally I left a message. I received no call back. When I called again closer to the time of my appointment, the lady answered and said that they were fully booked, they have a cancellation policy which I would've agreed to when I booked and they would have to check with the owner to see if I could be rescheduled. I called the salon again as I managed to get into London and the lady had such a bad attitude saying that they were fully booked and I would have to wait for a call back. I received no call back, no offer of a rescheduled appointment and they charged me the full price of the treatment THAT I DID NOT RECEIVE, with an email that said I ‘did not show'. Of course I agreed to the terms of the cancellation policy – I had every intention of attending my appointment!!! I can't believe businesses actually operate like this without any consideration. On my first visit to this place I arrived on time and waited over half an hour while the lady was finishing off another customer's treatment. I didn't complain, I showed grace because sometimes things happen that are out of our control. I think it's disgusting that they couldn't at least offer an appointment on another day – a bikini wax isn't longer than 20 minutes! Needless to say they've lost a customer; they will never get my money again.

Edit following response from owner:
The owner's response is completely inaccurate. They are being dishonest to salvage reputation, or they must have me confused with another customer. Note to owner: I never called you to say I'd forgotten about my appointment after you charged me later that evening. I called you in advance of my appointment and my call logs clearly evidence this. I didn't forget my appointment; trust me no one would forget an appointment having agreed to a cancellation policy at the time of booking that charges full cost of treatment for no show or cancellation within 24 hours. Are you also not aware that the Fresha sends a reminder of appointment email on the day?

I don't want another appointment from you because your approach has been atrocious. I didn't write this review to try and get a refund – I can take the £35 loss. I've written my review based on my experience so please do refrain from telling me that my review isn't honest or transparent otherwise I will screenshot my call logs to your salon and my booking with confirmed time of appointment then post the photos here. Please don't go there with me.
