Google Bad Review 1: Overall, their internship process was very messy. Many people in my program were not given internships until days leading up to our start date. My fellow students were also given questionable internships, working full time for no pay. In addition to this, despite multiple interviews with me where they asked what kind of internship I would like, they failed to listen and attempted to place me in internship positions that have nothing to do with my majors or my future career (one of which would have been detrimental to my career if I accepted it). It seems like they only pick up on certain words in your resume and run with that rather than looking at your resume as a whole and tailoring internships to that. Currently, I am placed in an internship that has nothing to do with my majors but I was forced to accept it because of the late timing and the threat of being sent home for not having an internship. If your university is partnering up with AES, I would suggest you look for your own internship on the side rather than trusting them with your time and money.
