Google Bad Review 1: Booked two child seats because I have two children. The Hertz employee said that child seats are not guaranteed – so what is a family with two kids supposed to do? He then went to dig around and managed to find some. Then the Mercedes I booked was not available (or “we don’t even have that vehicle in our line-up” – so why is in on your app?) so he offered an “upgrade” of a Kia or Nissan. Really miserable experience. A business built on over-promising and under-delivering.

Google Bad Review (2): Car was 2 hours late to become available. Apparently it takes > 1 hr to get them from the Marylebone lot to Kong’s Cross? Arrived filthy inside and out and with a large undocumented dent. And only 2/3 full tank despite the clerk claiming it was 3/4 full. Mystery charges to our account added on upon return that they could not explain. We will need to phone this in to head office to complain. Will stick with Avis going forward. True to their slogan, they try harder. But easy to surpass this Hertz location where they seem to hardly try at all.
