Google Bad Review: I told myself I'd be damned if I didn't write a review about this place before the years end – and I've never written a review anywhere, so that's saying something.
Be extremely careful with these people, I did my Class 1 initial with them back in August, and long story short, an abnormal reading on my left ear (which indicated 50% deafness), was deemed to be accurate, leading me to be referred to a specialist and conduct additional hearing tests with results showing my hearing was absolutely fine (in fact, above normal), as I had expected. Anyway, due to this original malfunction with the reading at the centre, I had to pay an additional £527.40 (£108 of which was directly to the centre for the ‘extra work' they had to do to resolve my situation, and the remaining £419.40 going into payments made to an ENT specialist, new independent hearing tests and travel costs).
Obviously I asked for a refund on these expenses – at the very least the £108 additional on top of the initial class 1 fee, which I deemed to be a no-brainer. To my surprise and absolute disgust, the centre refused to grant a refund on any of the expenses, claiming their equipment was fine on the day and nobody else suffered from the same abnormal result I did.
Anyway, I just thought I'd let everyone know of my unfortunate situation in order for you all to be more aware. Flying is an expensive endeavour, and we really don't need stunning incompetence and atrocious customer service costing us further !
NB: A receptionist even admitted to me over the phone that this isn't the first time it's happened – be careful everyone !
