Google Bad Review:  (Translated by Google) Two positive things: the very good Carlos in reception and the proximity to the metro stop “Stepney Green” (less than 2 minutes walk), otherwise a disappointment given the other reviews and how it looks from the outside.

Here's what we didn't like:
– we are told that room cleaning is not possible due to the Covid situation. Honestly, it seemed like an excuse, also because the approach with the covid you have in Great Britain has been much quieter and for much longer than in Italy (we envy you on this), yet in Italy they clean the rooms. In any case we are told that we could leave a notice on the door handle to have coffee and towels changed. Although we used the cups and left them clearly visible, for the duration of the stay (3 days) they were NEVER cleaned. We also explicitly requested toilet paper, which was not given to us, luckily what we had was enough.

– the wi-fi, which I paid extra to be able to have it for 3 days, worked on my device, on my wife's it only worked for two days.

– the distributor in the hall, we arrived on Thursday afternoon and from there it was never filled, which is no small feat since the water was already out on Saturday.

– the most amazing thing was the dinner. Throughout the hotel there are posters sponsoring dinner, there is also the menu in the room and on the breakfast tables, one would think that in the evening you can have dinner there. Friday night we try. We arrive at 20, there is no one but we still ask to be able to eat, the kitchen clerk is called and instead of ordering sitting at the table he makes us come right to the counter. While we look at the menu he is there staring at us, snorting and nervously tapping his fingers on the counter; annoyed because we were choosing what to order, ironically he tells us “take your time”, not very nice. We seemed bothered, instead they should have thanked us, not only because we used a hotel service (paying for it) but also because two guys saw us from the window and entered to have dinner, even though they were not Travelodge customers. It goes without saying that the pizza my wife ate was one of the frozen ones you can find at the supermarket.

Otherwise, a fairly clean and aesthetically nice hotel, but the experience was certainly bad and we will hardly stay in the Travelodge chain in the future.

Due cose positive : il bravissimo Carlos in reception e la vicinanza alla fermata della metropolitana ” Stepney Green ” ( meno di 2 minuti a piedi ), per il resto una delusione viste le altre recensioni e come si presenta da fuori.

Ecco cosa non ci è piaciuto :
– ci viene detto che la pulizia della camera non è possibile a causa della situazione Covid. Onestamente ci è sembrata una scusa, anche perchè l'approccio con il covid che avete in Gran Bretagna è molto più tranquillo e da molto più tempo rispetto all'Italia ( vi invidiamo su questo), eppure in Italia le camere le puliscono. In ogni caso ci viene detto che potevamo lasciare un avviso sulla maniglia della porta per avere cambio caffè e asciugamani. Nonostante avessimo usato le tazze e lasciate ben in evidenza, per tutta la durata della permanenza ( 3 giorni) non sono MAI state pulite. Inoltre abbiamo richiesto esplicitamente carta igienica, che non ci è stata data, fortunatamente quella che avevamo ci è bastata.

– il wi-fii, che ho pagato extra per poterlo avere 3 giorni, sul mio dispositivo funzionava, su quello di mia moglie è funzionato solo due giorni .

– il distributore nella hall, siamo arrivati giovedi pomeriggio e da lì non è mai stato riempito, cosa non da poco visto che sabato era già finita l'acqua.

– la cosa più incredibile è stata la cena. Per tutto l'hotel ci sono manifesti che sponsorizzano la cena, c'è anche il menu in camera e sui tavoli della colazione, viene da pensare che la sera si possa cenare lì. Venerdì sera proviamo. Arriviamo alle 20, non c'è nessuno ma chiediamo comunque di poter mangiare, viene chiamato l'impiegato addetto alla cucina e anzichè ordinare seduti al tavolo ci fa venire proprio al bancone. Mentre guardiamo il menù lui è lì che ci fissa, sbuffa e comincia a battere nervosamente le dita sul bancone ; scocciato perchè stavamo scegliendo cosa ordinare, ironicamente ci dice ” take your time”, non molto carino. Sembrava dessimo fastidio, invece avrebbero dovuto ringraziarci, non solo perchè abbiamo usufruito di un servizio dell'hotel ( pagandolo) ma anche perchè due ragazzi ci hanno visto dalla vetrina e sono entrati per cenare, pur non essendo clienti del Travelodge. Non serve dire che la pizza che ha mangiato mia moglie era di quelle surgelate che puoi trovare al supermercato.

Per il resto, hotel abbastanza pulito ed esteticamente carino, ma l'esperienza è stata sicuramente negativa e difficilmente soggiorneremo in futuro nella catena Travelodge .
