Google Bad Review:  I am amazed at the number of 5* reviews, it is hard to believe that they are genuine. This is my experience, and those of my fellow agency workers. All went well initially, I went to their offices in London to sign their paperwork. Lots of assurances re training and work were given. I had to buy my own steel toecapped footwear and uniform so £80 down straightaway.

I was offered work on a specific project quickly and worked 6am til 2pm thirteen days out of fourteen – at a station 15 miles away from my hometown. No thought went into placing workers at their closest stations, causing some massive transport problems. I was promised further regular shifts, after a weeks rest, which were never offered – this is despite management specifically requesting me again due to my excellent work.

The only contact were occasional SHOUTY emails sent at eleven at night demanding that I ring the office. Then Ontrak thought it was appropriate to insist that I be at a station thirty miles away or more for six the next morning, with no parking available and myself to pay any petrol costs. Trains would not have got me to work in time. Promised training was never offered, and certainly no work at the railway station they initially advertised for. However, despite not offering workers on their books any work etc., they continue to advertise for staff. Shame on GTR for using this agency and allowing them the monopoly, dreadful all round
