Google Bad Review 1:  The blonde lady who cut my hair did such a fabulous job!! However, I had a major issue with the director and price which I can see from previous reviews has also happened before. Also the owner has decided to respond saying it's “false information” more than a year after I posted it. I would not have taken the time to write this if it was false – and you can read another review below with a very similar issue.

I had booked using the treatwell website where I indicated I have long hair (past the shoulder) and was quoted £35. In the t&c it says that if they cut it MORE than 3 inches you may be subject to pay more – fair enough.

When it came to payment the director stated that I have to pay £10 more than the quoted price because I have long hair. I explained I ticked the correct box for length (and it’s not like my hair was down to my waist or anything) and showed her and said it’s pretty clear so I’m not okay with that. She then said oh it’s because we cut more than 3 inches! I had in fact asked for 3 to be cut. Anyway in good faith I said let’s do £40 not £45 and she became so angry. (I felt that was fair because at first she stated long hair was the reason for the increase and once I reasoned against that, she applied the 3 inches rule! Also while I was mid treatment, I saw another lady go to pay and the director said oh we are going to charge you more than quoted price for whatever reason, that lady seemed to accept it, but hey I felt I had my reasons!) Anyway the director started yelling in front of all her staff and called me names. I reiterated politely that £40 seems fair and she said fine. But then she kept going on about this long hair business and how busy she is and in doing so sort of spiralled and totally lost her cool that she went back on the £40 compromise and instead called me more names and said never come back (not that I had any intention to) and to pay the £35 because she’s too busy with other people. She kept saying I am the Director and I’m so busy (like no one said you weren’t honey, but it made me think then as the director you should be better with customers and stuff- I was wrong!) So I guess I did get what I was quoted but oh my what an experience!

Absolutely unprofessional for a director, but I have to say the blond lady GAVE ME A GREAT HAIRCUT! It’s such a shame it ended this way. Anyway if you’re going there for the first time maybe show them your length and ask if there are any other hidden / not so obvious costs before your treatment so you don’t have to deal with her unreasonable and unprofessional manner at the end which just ruins the whole experience.

But for anyone totally looking to avoid the drama and still get a great haircut / blow dry, there’s a places called central studios a little down the road which charge £42 and before your wash/cut/ blow dry + they do explain when/ where extra costs come into play so you’re aware before and it’s not sprung on you! And this place does shellac nails for about £20, but central studios does it for £15!

Google Bad Review (2):  NOT impressed!!!
Called up to book a wash cut blow dry for medium length hair, was told it would cost £35 And as a new client 20% off which made it £28.
Went in got a standard bob cut and they wanted to charge me £45!!!!
Apparently going from medium length to a bob was a complete re-style and a wash cut and blow dry means a trim only…..she knew nothing of my phone agreement.
She then offered me the 20% discount and I ended up paying the normal price of £35.
Make sure you know what you're letting yourself in for.
