Google Bad Review 1: Had high hopes after reading reviews, but was very dissapointed. Wasn't overly impressed with the reception from the gent working the front of house, but that is minor. I had previously rang and booked my consultation and was told it would be £50, was more than happy to pay this. My consultation consisted of me explaining my issues and was told by my doctor, she would like to take an x-ray – fair enough I thought. I should point out the consultation was thorough.
After an hour, I was taken back to the reception, where I was told it was £105! At no point had anyone mentioned the cost of the x-ray would be £55.
I reluctantly paid, I then had a brief chat again with the Gent, who went straight in to talking about courses and block bookings! I thought how does he know how long I need to recover?
I returned a few days later for my free follow up, which took maybe 15 mins, where all we did was read back my transcript from 5 days before of what I expressed my pain issues were. We did look at my x-ray and could see some issues. I would've thought maybe we could look at my posture, lifestyle? Some general day to changes, discuss what we need to do, the treatments itself, will I need to be adjusted? How it works? Nope 18 treatments i require at 40 pounds each, some 3 times a week! My total would be £640! I was told. No idea what I get for this, but I could of course pay upfront for all treatments…
I politely declined this, but was told, of course, not to leave it too long..
Unfortunately this may be the case for all chiropractors, but for me it felt: Money money money!
My main reason for my dusgruntledness was for the lack of upfront honesty about charges. But hey, I paid £105 for a consultation and won't be returning, so ultimately they're winning.
