Google Bad Review 1:  Really surprised how disappointing this was. This is my local pub, and after seeing the menu options we decided to come for dinner. We booked for 7pm, but most of the items on their menu were not available – which we had to find out when trying to order through the QR code (the menu was on the table as normal and the staff didn't inform us at any point – even items that WERE shown through the online menu were unavailable).

I saw one of our servers wipe their nose on their sleeve while behind the bar, which was concerning considering the hygiene risks and supposed COVID-19 precautions in place.

We ordered two burgers and a falafel dish, which took over 40 minutes to arrive. The staff were apologetic when we went to ask about this, and explained they have a new chef. However, when the food did arrive it was burnt in places and cold in others. The burger buns had a very strange, off-putting smell to them. We found small amounts of fried fish on one of the vegan items, which was the last straw for us.

We will definitely not be returning.

Positives – nice decor and nice staff. The server I spoke to when I went to check about our food would arrive was extremely apologetic and friendly.

Google Bad Review (2):  My girlfriend and I visited this pub on a November Tuesday evening for a pub meal. Unfortunately we did not have a positive experience due to a number of issues:

• Much of the food menu was unavailable. We happen to be vegans and this meant we only had one option for a main.
In addition, this is the first time in my life that I have experienced a food outlet other than KFC who's french fries are not vegan-friendly.

• The food took a good while to arrive. We ordered falafel and burgers, which you wouldn't expect to take the 40 minutes we waited for.

• The quality of the ingredients are quite a bit cheaper than the prices had suggested.

• Finally, despite ordering a vegan meal, we found chunks of batter (maybe fish batter) with our Baked Falafel Bites. Which is unacceptable.

On a positive, I found the staff friendly and accommodating.
