Google Bad Review 1:  I moved from the US to London, and was very inexperienced in flat finding in the UK.

John D Wood & Co Estate Agents Primrose Hill took advantage of my lack of experience in a few ways:
1. Their pictures of the flat made it look much larger and cleaner than it actually was.
2. They negotiated an arragement with a landlord who is extremely creepy towards women.
3. They encouraged me to put a down-payment as soon as possible as other people would be looking at the flat the same day (something extremely common but unknown to me because of my newness at the process.)

Because of the first 2 points we ended up not renting the flat, however because of the 3rd point I lost hundreds of pounds because of this decision.

For this reason I would not recommend them, even if you are a savy renter, as they seem to be experienced in taking advantage of renters.

Google Bad Review (2):  Let a couple of my flats with JD Wood, a larger and smaller place. The larger place (which I was more dependent on) remained empty for so long I had to go elsewhere and find another agent (found tenants v quickly). But for the smaller apt, JDW found the worst tenants who complained about one issue or another every week, and JDW sided with these tenants every time without question. It ended up costing me to let this place.

I take pride in always having the best facilities and accommodation, as well as responding quickly to any issues for peace of mind (and to retain good clients). Life happens and it's pointless having things drag on. But from the beginning JD Wood seemed to go out of their way to make life very difficult, where everything seemed to become a saga that never ended (broken washing machine, fridge, bed etc). I never had complaints with the property in question before these tenants moved in, nor with other places I own.
