Google Bad Review 1:  Like some Amazon reviews, I would take most, if not all of these gushing 5 star reviews with a rather large pinch of salt. One agent, ‘Harry’ showed me one of the properties they ‘professionally’ manage and tried to convince me it had been cleaned when it was clearly very dirty. No doubt, like other agencies, they would expect me to leave it spotless on checkout

He then spent the next day avoiding responding to me, presumably holding out for a more lucrative offer- and then belatedly telling me that the landlord had chosen another tennant after I had given up the chance of another apartment which they were well aware off. Looking at the reviews- looks like they have done this to others.

Funnily enough I noticed one ‘reviewer’ had the same uncommon Greek surname as the agent I dealt with. Coincidence? I expect a sudden rash of new ‘references’ to try and push this one down the list.
Whatever you do, unless you have actually paid the deposit and have something concrete in writing- please dont stop your property search!

Google Bad Review (2):  Horrible estate agency.. My girlfriend and I found a flat we liked (posted that day) and contacted this estate agency about it.

After two days of “he will call you back” we finally reached the correct agent (by calling him back ourselves) and he confirmed that this particular property is available. We then expressed our interest and asked for a possibility 10 month contract. He said that 11 months would be possible but that he would confirm and get back to us as soon as possible. Naturally, we stopped our search and waited for his response.

After this he did not return our phone calls or emails until 5 days later when it was “too late” and someone else had “put a deposit down”.

Thus for anyone looking to rent a property in London I would recommend looking somewhere else unless you want to be as disappointed as we were. Priority means nothing to them.
