Google Bad Review: The first few months of finding a property & settling in went well with the help of a lovely gentleman name Josh who was our go to agent , extremely responsive & helpful throughout our first 3 months (dec19-March20). As the pandemic hit, this is where the communication between our agency & our service began to decline. We were no longer assigned Josh & was directed to another branch as our first form of contact. We didn’t have many issues with the property except the washing machine & boiler to which they checked promptly upon request from june20-aug20 roughly. We were never contacted to make sure they could assist us during those unsettling times might I add. During November 20, we experienced a traumatic flood due to a pipe burst. We called our agency, no one picked up.. we called again , searching for any help to get an emergency plumber out as the property was facing extreme damage. After being sent to different directories for over 3 hours we got through to aPM who said they could only send out a plumber in a few hours , to which we explained there wouldn’t be a house in 3 hours if they didn’t send someone out within the next 10 mins. Upon the plumbers arrival he explained that it was made out to be a small leak. The main pipe had burst which required affinity waters help to repair, the bathroom floor was pouring water directing into the kitchen , through the lighting as well. The next few months was hell, as the main electric board kept cutting out for long periods of time. We were told that it will dry out. I have asthma & the other tenant has a chronic allergy to penicillin, we could smell the damp & were afraid of the mould. The property was eventually habitable but we were unhappy for obvious reason. A painter was sent out to paint over the damp stains. Though through all of this we wanted to renew our year contract, a woman called Viktoria was sorting out these documents however we never heard back from her. A month later after our contract had expired & we both had emailed them & called them countless times to further discuss this with no response we then received an email stating that our tenancy was moved to a periodic statutory tenancy agreement. We then experienced the front gate falling off due to the deterioration of the bricks, after contacting them about this they said to leave it and put the gate in a safe place if possible as this is not something worth fixing during these times. Summer 2021 came & we experienced a wasp nest in our ventilator, from our other poor experiences we decided to pay for an exterminator as we both have allergies to bees & wasps. Regardless, we reached a point at which we could no longer afford the property. We had tried to call them & email them several times to explain our situation, but to no luck we received no response. After emailing every email I could find I sent our request to terminate our contract. We were then contacted by several people at once. Explaining they didn’t know this is how we felt and that we should’ve called them directly (though we were not given a point of call since March20,as we were sent to different branches several times as our property was supposedly not listed under these branches) They stated as it was short notice we would have to pay another months rent, at this point we were exhausted & agreed to it though we could not afford this. Last week, a week after our tenancy had ended we were then given a bill to pay for damages. We had paid a cleaner & cleaned w/them ourselves (left in a better condition then when we moved in). After negotiation we agreed to a different cost as we thought this would be the last time they would contact us. I received another bill today though the property has been vacant since the 20th of Dec. We are not liable for costs incurred as we have not generated these bills. They have only contacted us in regards to money, never about their service & if there is something they could do to make us stay. Unacceptable treatment for a service I’m paying for. Find yourself an agency who will give you the support you need.
