Google Bad Review: We hired an Aston Martin sports car through a different company (dreamcar hire/premiere velocity) in September 2019 for the weekend however that company couldn’t fulfil our order because they sold the car and couldn’t renew their insurance on buying a new one. As we had already paid in full in Jan 2019, dreamcar hire offered to source us one through another company for which they used bespokes. Unbeknown to bespokes (Dreamcar/premiere velocity didn’t pass on the info or details) this car was being used as our wedding car but nonetheless the car that arrived was at least 10-15 years old, not road worthy and definitely wouldn’t have passed an MOT (the handbrakes didn’t work, the boot didn’t open, the sat nav didn’t work, the brake lights weren’t working properly, the cruise control didn’t work, the radio didn’t work properly) and the car was so scratched inside it looked like it had been very overused. The engine had a problem with it in that it rattled so loudly every time we went slowly in first of 2nd gear (not an Aston Martin roar as you would hope). Upon complaining after our wedding, neither company accepted responsibility. Dreamcar hire said they simply organised the transaction and bespokes said they had sent one of their cars that is just used for photos or films as they had no idea it was for a wedding. I paid £1500 for the displeasure of having the awful car for less than 48hrs. Bespokes also said that £1500 was nowhere near enough for the car I was expecting. Upon putting my review up, a man from bespokes called me to ask me to take it down as it wasn’t their fault and that he was going to look into sueing me for loss of business from a negative review. I took the original review down and I never heard from anyone again. I was hoping for recognition of the awful service and a partial refund. I would strongly recommend avoiding both companies for luxury car hire.
