Google Bad Review (2): This was by far the WORST hire car experience EVER!
1) this is not Manchester airport car hire, we drove for 15mins from Manchester airport in a dodgy van with a magnetic sticker on the side with an extremely rude Ace Car Rentals staff member who made us wait 30mins
2) when we eventually got to Ace, the process was unprofessional and lengthy, we were forced to buy additional insurance premium reduction despite already having purchased it through VIP cars
3) they bought out the wrong car, a Hyundai i30, and attempted to force take it despite booking a peugeot 2008. They then bought a Vauxhall Mokha which is not comparable AT ALL and it was manual. When I informed the staff member I needed an automatic he insinuated I was a bad driver
4) when we finally got an automatic car it was filthy inside and out and I will be posting videos on social media to demonstrate Ace and VIP cars clearly do not care about Covid protocols as the car had not been cleaned between drivers
5) after 4 days of having the car, it broke down due to radiator fluid leaking – extremely unsafe and clear that the car had not been serviced
6) the car was picked up the following day with no apology or upgrade offered. We requested a refund but were refused.
7) the next car tyre sensor was broken and wheel alignment not correct so the car made a horrible noise when driving and Ace offered nothing to remedy, just suggested that the car was “safe” when very clearly wasn’t and again not serviced
8) finally – I have contact VIP to complain and received no response to my email over a week ago. Pathetic
