this is dishonest practice as they have the option to place the listing as Sold subject to contract …I spent hours researching the property before contacting them so i dont waste their time not knowing that they intended to waste my time even before I clicked on the property

no wonder state agents have bad reputation but you would think this kind of practices has been eliminated in this day and age

Google Bad Review 1:  I'm not one who to leave Google reviews but I have had such an awful experience dealing with their management team that I feel so compelled to write this so no one would have to go through the same. Our flat was let out with Fully Managed service although I am not sure what service I really did pay for. Most communications with Dexters tend to go silent over time, requiring plenty of chasing up by ourselves, there were barely any follow ups on any of the job repairs. I am led to believe there were no routine inspections being carried out as set out in the contract – if they did they would have discovered that our tenants have breached the contract by keeping a pet which later caused damages to our newly refurbished property. Our claim for the deposit was later denied because a) there was insufficient information from the check in report carried out by Dexters, and b) any repairs reported would take them weeks, if not months, to resolve, that they left damages to our property. If you spoke to two different agents in their office you would most definitely get two different responses (that is if you're lucky they don't leave you with a false promise of having someone call you back), and then get the sense of them fobbing you off because really they have no idea what they're doing! Our contract-breaching, damage-causing tenants were also allowed to stay longer than their tenancy period because Dexters never carried out the Gas safety checks in time, so we couldn't serve our notice (even though we were told they had served it, only to find out weeks later that this was a lie).
All in all, if you care for your property and want to save yourself the headache and from feeling like you need to rip your hair out, you'd be much better off letting another company handle it for you.

Google Bad Review (2):  Probably one of the worst experience ever. We placed an offer for one of the available flats. We were informed that the offer was accepted by the landlord. They asked us to provide our card number and security number to withdraw the holding deposit themselves, which is ridiculos (I think UK might be missing some important laws there).
Anyway, we provided this information, but no money was withdrawn from the account. The following day we get a phone call from them saying a couple visited the flat the day before (after our offer was already accepted) and they were also interested in that flat so they placed an offer as well (???) and the agency couldn't do anything about it because they ??????forgot?????? to withdraw the holding deposit from us. We went back and forth adding more and more money, but it all ended up with: The other offer was accepted (they even told us that they already got the holding deposit from the other couple).
It is interesting how they couldn't take our holding deposit in a span of 12h but it took less than 5 minutes to get it from the other people.
Do better.

P.S I really recommand Coopers of London, they have high ethical standards which apperantly is very rare nowadays 🙂

Google Bad Review 1:  100% THE WORST lettings agency I have ever had to work with. They move you into dirty (but very expensive) flat where the is human faeces in the toilet, default on promises of Internet and television access (very important to have ASAP as we were moving from abroad), don't answer the phone or call you back when requested, getting any information out of them is impossible, they don't respond to maintenance requests in your home and then last of all when tryin to move out they withhold £3000 worth of deposit and give no reason. They are the most rude, unprofessional and scheming company I have ever dealt with and would hate to see anyone have to endure the same treatment. Appalling.

Google Bad Review (2):  I've worked with many letting and estate agents in London. MyLondonHome were the least competent, most aggressive, and in several cases outright bullying towards us. The didn't know the difference between a sub-sale and a contract re-assignment, selling us the former as the latter and even fought with the solicitors to defend their incorrect interpretation. It was only after the solicitors sussed out the details that the agents backed off. They also pulled dirty tricks like emailing at 9am asking for a commitment from us then emailing again mid-afternoon to “confirm our lack of interest.” I will never work with them if there's any breathing alternative.

Google Bad Review 1:  100% THE WORST lettings agency I have ever had to work with. They move you into dirty (but very expensive) flat where the is human faeces in the toilet, default on promises of Internet and television access (very important to have ASAP as we were moving from abroad), don't answer the phone or call you back when requested, getting any information out of them is impossible, they don't respond to maintenance requests in your home and then last of all when tryin to move out they withhold £3000 worth of deposit and give no reason. They are the most rude, unprofessional and scheming company I have ever dealt with and would hate to see anyone have to endure the same treatment. Appalling.

Google Bad Review (2):  I've worked with many letting and estate agents in London. MyLondonHome were the least competent, most aggressive, and in several cases outright bullying towards us. The didn't know the difference between a sub-sale and a contract re-assignment, selling us the former as the latter and even fought with the solicitors to defend their incorrect interpretation. It was only after the solicitors sussed out the details that the agents backed off. They also pulled dirty tricks like emailing at 9am asking for a commitment from us then emailing again mid-afternoon to “confirm our lack of interest.” I will never work with them if there's any breathing alternative.
