Google Bad Review 1:  Power hungry, unprofessional and rude manager who called the police on me for “raising my voice” when I was simply speaking in my normal tone. The police rejected her forwards as she said there wasn’t any CCTV evidence which is clearly untrue, she just knew there was no evidence of me being abrupt and loud. All this for simply asking her why my return isn’t being accepted. Apparently the item was “not in resaleable condition” – I repackaged the item as neatly and tidily as possible, which was unused and in perfectly new condition. In fact, I went to the branch in Lakeside and the item was returned without any issues. I even spoke to the manager at lakeside and she apologised on the behalf of Argos for my terrible experience at Dagenham. She even recommended to forward a letter of complaint, as she has had several complaints regarding the management at Dagenham.

I will be posting a letter to the Argos head office about this manager and will require action as soon as possible. Going through the reviews I can see this isn’t an isolated circumstance regarding returns.

The workers are lazy and simply cannot be bothered to process something that isn’t a sale. I have worked in retail managing regions before and this is the worst experience I have ever suffered.

Shame on you Argos for employing such a pathetic excuse of a manger.
