Google Bad Review 1:  I took my watch here for a new battery and was told it needed a new motion which would cost around £80. I asked for it back to go elsewhere to compare price and it took 2 weeks to retrieve as they couldn't get hold of the guy in the shop. They also didn't confirm they still had it despite being asked several times to call me and say when they had found it! Lukily I had asked for a receipt when I dropped it off.

When I got it back I took it to a different place (not central London) and in 2 minutes I had a new battery and the watch is fine.

After receiving it back watch stopped working, sent into Rolex they advised damage was done an fake glass was put in. Contacted Harry's watches asked them what they did, confirmed glass was purchased from eBay rather than a legitimate Rolex parts provider. HIGHLY AVOID! started legal proceedings for damages.

Google Bad Review 1:  Very bad customer service experience!! All is good if you are buying, but they are very unpleasant if you want to return items. They would try first to treat you saying that you can just change items for shop-credit. And they are even worse if you put a bad review in Facebook. They always argue instead of reconoce humbly a mistake, they even lie about the situation. And then they speak about bad vibes … just figure what are their value!

Google Bad Review (2):  I am horrified and appalled by the experience I have had with Tribu. I ordered 4 items at the beginning of January, a month and numerous emails (without reply from Tribu) later, 3 of the 4 items arrived.
The quality of which were poor, badly made and not worth the money I paid for them.
Upon asking for a refund the same day the items arrived, I have now spend a three month long battle trying to get a refund for the items.
Gil is the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever had to deal with.
In an email with Gil they told me that the previous months of communication I had with ‘Silvia' were actually all with Gil.

After 2 months of back and forths I decided to take my complaint to the Consumer Ombudsman, upon telling this to Gil, I was swiftly emailed back to say the refund could go ahead.

Once I had sent back the items I didn't hear from Gil for a further month, when Gil replied to say the items had arrived but I wasn't going to get my money back.
Again, after a few more back and forths, today, finally, 84 days after I bought the items I have been issued a refund.

I will never be purchasing anything from Tribu again.

Perhaps it's time Gil looks to hires a more professional and polite member of staff, otherwise soon people will realise this isn't a company worth dealing with. Or maybe that's for the best!

Google Bad Review 1:  I was absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of staff here. They were rude and belligerent and condescending to people in the street outside their store. This went as far as retracting the awnings deliberately on people taking shelter from the rain (those taking shelter included children and adults) to drop water on people.

Needless to say I will never use one of their stores again and make a formal complaint to the parent company about this behaviour.

Only the battery was replaced. I took it to a local cobblers to have a new strap and they told me they charge 14.99 or 29.99 if i wanted it sealed. I trusted Chisholm hunter with my precious watch i they bascially did me over. Dont let them do this to you.

Google Bad Review (2):  Do not take anything of value to this repair shop, shoddy workmanship, no customer service, and no understanding of the value of jewellery.

My engagement ring needed resizing and sadly a family member recommended this shop. Firstly the ring was not ready on time, secondarily the central diamond was loose (they claimed the claws had been ‘caught' in the polishing machine), thirdly a side diamond was missing (which they didn't even notice, I had to return to the shop a THIRD time to get this reset).

Not even a hint of apology for the fact I had to return to the shop three times or that they had lost a diamond in an expensive ring (let alone any kind of refund for the bad job they had done).

UPDATE: To answer your question, no I am not satisfied with the ring.

I had a ring that I thought was perfect and loved wearing. I now have a ring that I am scared to wear, as I am scared that more stones will fall out due to your poor workmanship. I was given no proof that the stone that was replaced was actually the diamond in there previously, I was not given any information about how the stone was reset, and whether this was suitable (particularly worrying as another man in the shop suggested they send the ring to their ‘diamond setter' but the other person just did it).

2nd UPDATE: To respond to your reply, yet again, I will correct you on a number of your wrongly stated points below:

– Whether you think my worries are ‘simply worries’ or not, they are worries that are there because of your shoddy workmanship.
– I came back to the shop 7 days after dropping the ring off, I was told when I first dropped the ring off that you would have it ready in 7 days as the maximum (the gentlemen that took the ring actually said if I had come in twenty minutes earlier they could have resized it the same day). I returned 15 minutes earlier than the time I had dropped the ring off, 7 days later, so the ring should have been ready within 15 minutes as a maximum as per the information you had given me. You told me that other customers had been wanting their jewellery early so you had done theirs first, I had come at the time you had stated and yet my jewellery was not ready.
– When I was in the shop for the first of my three visits, I had told you that I was supposed to be going straight to work. When you said the ring was not going to be ready, I told you that I would have to cancel my shift therefore you claiming you were ‘thinking about me going to work’ is a false statement and shows you didn’t bother listening to your customer.
– Your claim that you ‘dropped everything to make sure my ring was right within 30 minutes’ is ridiculous. You were presented with a ring that was perfect except needing to be slightly resized, you had seven days to repair it, and returned a ring that had one loose diamond and one missing diamond, neither things you bothered checking.
– Your last point that ‘you had every customer wanting their items repaired ASAP due to the lockdown measures being put back in place’ is also surprising, as you asked me multiple times if I could return later in the week as you were staying open after the 2nd lockdown.

And finally as far as you thinking I will ‘look back and realise you didn’t do anything wrong’ is quite simply worrying, the fact that you are unable to acknowledge the number of things you did wrong and just apologise them speaks volumes, and I’m sure will discourage any other customers from using your services far more than a negative review.

Google Bad Review (2):  Do not take anything of value to this repair shop, shoddy workmanship, no customer service, and no understanding of the value of jewellery.

My engagement ring needed resizing and sadly a family member recommended this shop. Firstly the ring was not ready on time, secondarily the central diamond was loose (they claimed the claws had been ‘caught' in the polishing machine), thirdly a side diamond was missing (which they didn't even notice, I had to return to the shop a THIRD time to get this reset).

Not even a hint of apology for the fact I had to return to the shop three times or that they had lost a diamond in an expensive ring (let alone any kind of refund for the bad job they had done).

UPDATE: To answer your question, no I am not satisfied with the ring.

I had a ring that I thought was perfect and loved wearing. I now have a ring that I am scared to wear, as I am scared that more stones will fall out due to your poor workmanship. I was given no proof that the stone that was replaced was actually the diamond in there previously, I was not given any information about how the stone was reset, and whether this was suitable (particularly worrying as another man in the shop suggested they send the ring to their ‘diamond setter' but the other person just did it).

2nd UPDATE: To respond to your reply, yet again, I will correct you on a number of your wrongly stated points below:

– Whether you think my worries are ‘simply worries’ or not, they are worries that are there because of your shoddy workmanship.
– I came back to the shop 7 days after dropping the ring off, I was told when I first dropped the ring off that you would have it ready in 7 days as the maximum (the gentlemen that took the ring actually said if I had come in twenty minutes earlier they could have resized it the same day). I returned 15 minutes earlier than the time I had dropped the ring off, 7 days later, so the ring should have been ready within 15 minutes as a maximum as per the information you had given me. You told me that other customers had been wanting their jewellery early so you had done theirs first, I had come at the time you had stated and yet my jewellery was not ready.
– When I was in the shop for the first of my three visits, I had told you that I was supposed to be going straight to work. When you said the ring was not going to be ready, I told you that I would have to cancel my shift therefore you claiming you were ‘thinking about me going to work’ is a false statement and shows you didn’t bother listening to your customer.
– Your claim that you ‘dropped everything to make sure my ring was right within 30 minutes’ is ridiculous. You were presented with a ring that was perfect except needing to be slightly resized, you had seven days to repair it, and returned a ring that had one loose diamond and one missing diamond, neither things you bothered checking.
– Your last point that ‘you had every customer wanting their items repaired ASAP due to the lockdown measures being put back in place’ is also surprising, as you asked me multiple times if I could return later in the week as you were staying open after the 2nd lockdown.

And finally as far as you thinking I will ‘look back and realise you didn’t do anything wrong’ is quite simply worrying, the fact that you are unable to acknowledge the number of things you did wrong and just apologise them speaks volumes, and I’m sure will discourage any other customers from using your services far more than a negative review.

Firstly, there were scratches on the strap when I bought the watch so the store changed the strap for me. Thought all was fine but on the wedding morning when my husband opened the present the new straps had been incorrectly fitted so he was unable to even wear the watch on our wedding day. We had this sorted after the event and again all was fine. 2 months in, the watch mechanism has now stopped and I have been told it will take 2 months to repair without any kind of compensation offered Hugely disappointing, and terrible customer service.
