Google Bad Review 1: absolutely shocking service to the extent I wasn't comfortable to have them repair my car, the customer service I received over phone was from someone that clearly didn't know there job , i asked a manager/supervisor to call me but and his attitude was even worse, took my insurance claim somewhere else and was very happy to do so

Google Bad Review (2): 1 star is 1 too many. This garage is a total con DO NOT USE. I asked for them to refurb 1 alloy on my car while it wasn’t in for an insurance repair. They quoted £65 to do this if I paid cash. They overran on the timings of the repairs, but never called to update me on this. When I called this afternoon for an update and explained I needed the car as I was away the following week I was told they would see what they could do and would call back. They didn’t. When I called again I was told it was done and I needed to pay £220 cash on delivery. When I asked what the money was for I was told 2 alloy repairs. Firstly 2 x £65 doesn’t add up to this, secondly and most importantly I hadn’t asked for 2 to be refurbed. After a bit of back and forth I was told that 2 had been repaired and as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ they would only charge £100 for both. I said I didn’t want to pay for 2 as I hadn’t asked for 2 to be done. They then offered to put one of my accident damaged alloys back on the car so I would only pay for 1, the accident damaged ones were much worse than the one they had refurbed, so obviously I said no. Knowing that I needed my car back that day they then said they would keep the car until Monday until they could speak to the guy I had emailed as he wasn’t in. Obviously I couldn’t wait for this so I said I would forward on the email, they said they would call back, which they did within a minute. Paul claimed he had spoken to Steve on the phone and Steve confirmed the quote, but said he had called to agree both wheels. I never had this call. The emails were exchanged on 9th Jan and the next time I heard from them was 4th February. I have phone records to prove this, funnily enough they couldn’t provide evidence this call was made. I was then told £100 was a good deal as normally it would be £170 (if anyone else has noticed none of these figures ever add up to the £220 I was originally asked for). To which I said clearly it was not because I had only asked for and expected to pay for 1 – not my problem they had done 2! Paul is one of the most rude men I have ever spoken to, he clearly has some sort of issue with people who understand how car repairs work and doesn’t like to be challenged. I was then told that if I didn’t pay the £100 I wouldn’t get my car back until Monday when Steve was back in – despite the fact they had just spoken to him, that I had written proof I had asked for 1 and they only had the claim of a phone call that never happened with absolutely no evidence. The issue was, my back was to the wall with needing my car back and they knew that, they knew threatening to keep the car gave me no option. I said quite frankly an extra £35 would be preferable to ever having to speak to them again. Paul then hung up on me and my car was delivered back to me in the dark and rain where I was expected to sign to say I approved the repairs! Ridiculous, so of course I didn’t sign. They also didn’t send the poor (but very lovely) driver with a receipt for the £100 so he had to waste his Friday evening waiting around for them to email one across before he could leave. I never normally go into such detail with anything, but I really feel that the detail of this issue needs sharing in this case so that people can see just how shady they really are. I should have known the second they told me they would do it cheaper for cash…not only do they try to pull the wool over peoples eyes, but they lie and are pushy and aggressive at times too. Please, always check reviews before getting anything done through your insurance and ask for the garage to be changed if they suggest this one. If you’re looking for yourself, keep looking and find somewhere genuine who don’t want to rip you off…there are so many great garages out there struggling whilst morons like this continue to trade.
