Google Bad Review:  As a family we stick by our previous review of Bluebird Care Richmond / Twickenham dated 3 months ago.
Their response was not factual and they used the positive comment we made about one member of staff to try to contradict our feedback.
The complaint they refer to was reported to social services; therefore we replied to them in the first instance to express our dissatisfaction with the response from Bluebird. The outcome reported false reporting on behalf of the carer which was supported by management even though we had CCTV evidence of the event.
We did highlight ‘one’ carer as an example of an ambassador for the company as she provided a good service; however it was evident that this was as a result of her work ethic rather than a reflection of Bluebird training.
We wrote to the directors as we were not getting anywhere with the manager; however they referred us back to the manager and the complaints policy.
We then agreed to a meeting with the manager and discussed our concerns. The manager acknowledged that Bluebird were reviewing staff training and agreed to action our concerns.
However, after 4 weeks of waiting with little or no evidence of improvement -still having no complete care-plan in place after we had supported the amendments to the documentation electronically on three occasions prior to the meeting and then once after the meeting we decided to terminate out contract.
Bluebird care charges are set at a rate that should reflect good practice and a good service which overall has not been our experience since we installed CCTV and raised concerns with management. We have spent too much of our time supporting the care provision and documentation for us to have confidence in their ability to provide a service that we can trust.
Bluebird Care provided 1 hr and 45 mins of support for 4 days of the week and the care provided is at a basic level. When we requested the login/out data for a period of 6 months we found that the carers had left early and we were not notified of this. Therefore, we requested reimbursement of funds for any visit that was cut short by more than 10 mins and we discovered that 4 hours and 45 minutes were outstanding. Although this was agreed two months ago at our meeting it took until the end of the contract and chasing by us to receive the reimbursement of costs. Bluebird stated that they do not monitor the login/out data although they were very keen to use this as a positive aspect of their service at the start!
For clarity and transparency do not take our word for it, request login / out data – install CCTV then review of the service.
It is also evident that in order to increase their review data staff post positive reviews this is not a reflection of clients experience so be careful when using this as a reflection of the service.
We end by acknowledging that some of Bluebird staff have provided a good service but sadly they do not reflect the service as a whole.
