Google Bad Review 1:  Not great service from both vet and the claims department.

We came with our dog Glasha who had problems with her stomach, vomiting, potentially liver problems. The doctor advised to give her dry food which later appeared to significantly worsen her condition.

They also did blood test and liver scan and some other things which fall into 2 conditions – vomiting and liver. But they send to insurance companies 2 claims for the same condition vomiting and obviously one was rejected because it hit the limit for condition. I contacted Davies 2-3 times to correct this and nobody ever came back to me. Last week they sent me email to ‘kindly request a payment of £600+' Called them again and they said they sent the correct claim to insurance company which appears they didn't.

The woman on the phone said I should be contacting insurance company myself. But they charged me £125 for dealing with insurance company.

In few words organization there is horrible. And doctors and people on reception are not doing a great job.

Google Bad Review (2):  Unless you have unlimited insurance or cash to pay extortionate fees that they make up every year, then stay away!

Summary:- 2021our Cat with vomiting stomach issues, referred by local vets to Davies.
Later after £3,000 in ‘procedures' and no diagnosis, only suggested ‘dry food and see how it goes'.

9 months later referred again by local vets for a simple ultrasound scan (estimate 900-£1000).
Sent cat in , within 6 hrs new treatments needing approval for over £2,400 and potentially £4,900 for endoscopy – just to ‘maybe' find out more but still no guarantee of diagnosis. If you want us to be more sure we need to perform surgery and open him up (In word's of vet and an undisclosed extra fee).

One vet even said when we brought him back in this year ”it can't be cancer, or our cat wouldn't have survived this long” (not exactly specialist vet diagnosis. I could have told you that for free).

Despite paying out, we still no official diagnosis after 9 months and nearly £5k in costs. (Some of which the insurance has covered surprisingly).

However we decided to rescue our cat from further distressing tests, just to fuel Davies corporate budgets. (I've never felt more love from my cat when I rescued him at 8.30pm before he had to suffer more distressing treatments).

I hope the management staff can all sleep at night knowing how they make money from owners emotional grief, by extorting pet owners and the insurance companies.

Having researched further, other vets in Buckinghamshire have told us they no longer refer to this place, mainly because of costs and negative feedback, so please question your local vets, before your pet is referred to this place.
