Google Bad Review 1:  Received extremely poor service. I don't like saying this because I hate to be seen as trying to pull the race card but I seriously think if I was any other ethnicity but black things would of been totally different.

I took a moment to read previous reviews before posting this and I feel like I'm reading about a totally different place.

I was courteous when I made my enquires on the phone and while I was in store making a purchase. I asked about having a bit of work done. I was told my task would be put on a staff notice board. The place is full of art graduates (apparently) but after about 2 and a ½ weeks of waiting for someone to take on the job on, I was eventually told that nobody there could do it.

All i needed were some words (nothing vulgar or rude) and the silhouette of London black cab, painted or drawn on an A4 board. I would of been prepared to pay up to £50 just to have it nicely hand drawn but not a soul got back to me with even a quote.

A staff member suggested I should get what I need done digitally and printed instead. He said it'll be alot quicker to do and that he could do it. I got a refund for the board I had because he told me the material it was made of wouldn't react well with heat when being printed on. He asked me to write down what I wanted on a piece of paper and told me I should leave it with him. That was about a month ago, I'm still waiting for his 1st digital draft of my design.

If you're not going to do the work or can't do it don't take on the job.

I don't think I could recommend this shop to anyone I know…. Well… Not if they're a non-hipster, non-artsy looking black guy anyway.

If taking commission jobs isn't a requirement, it shouldn't mentioned. Don't mention a board where jobs can be placed on and picked up if it's not applicable to anyone/everyone.

And you can keep your apology, its full of lies. I've used alot of services, been to many places I thought may be prejudiced but have have a wonderful experience. Your establishment on the other hand left a very, very bad impression.

Google Bad Review (2):  Not bad place with many supplies but overpriced. I bought a pen for £14.99 then googled it and its £4.50 on Amazon with free delivery with prime and averaging around a £5 on Ebay and other sites with free delivery.

Google Bad Review (2):  Lovely things however the customer service is terrible, in this case, the owner treates the customers with contempt. I was checking with my mum some umbrellas, after asking to one of the assistants and get her permission, as the place is small and we did not want to disturb other customers, we were outside, and we opened them outside, next to the door and not in front, for the same reason, the idea was not to disturb the rest of the people. Suddlenly, someone took me by my arm and told me to go inside, the way she spoke to me, and the bad manners she had ( taking me by the arm) was completly irreverent. So I asked her to do not do that, as I am not a thief. The reply was arrogant and I could not believe when she said the she cannot know if I was or not a thief. Obviusly, we did not buy the umbrellas and we will not go there any more. It seems the owner, who was so rude and unprofessinal, earns enough and she does not need to treat her customers as they deserve. By the way, there was a guy that was checking us, as it has to be.

Google Bad Review 1:  Zero Stars, if I could! New Owners are awful! What a complete change to the lovely family owners that were there before. Postal Service – I have been a few times, so I know it was not a one off. I know they are new, but they are lazy and useless. The Sorting Office also confirmed lots of people are also complaining to them about their service – lack of it. They are turning customers away with postal items they don't want to take. The Mum was rude and she has no welcome or smile or manners for that too. I haven't been in since or any of our family. We will post, purchase anything and do our lottery elsewhere from now on. So sad to see this local newsagents change.
