Google Bad Review 1:  This is one of my favourite fish & chips places. However, the last order I received from them was extremely disappointing. I ordered via Uber Eats on Friday evening, and although the delivery came in good time sadly that was one of the best things about it. I’m unsure if they were a bit quiet that evening or if they had a lot of unsold food but the quality of my order was sub par and nothing even remotely close to what they normally provide. I’ve been ordering from them for a long time, so it’s a place that I rely on for good food made with care. On this occasion, I struggle to see what I actually paid for…the chips were overcooked, like they had been refried a few times, and my Thai fish cake was nearly black in colour. I also ordered the kids Cod & chips which luckily weren’t too bad. The chips were still questionable though.

What happened, Brockley’s Rock?? Who allowed this order to go out like this?? I understand if you were quiet and didn’t want to waste food, but why am I paying for something that clearly is not worth the price you’re charging. Normally I am happy to pay, as it it a treat. However I feel cheated and shortchanged on this occasion. I’m so disappointed, and I’m wondering whether I shall order again. I am conflicted, as their service and quality is usually superb! But with a cost of living crisis, and having to watch spending, is it really worth it any more?
