Google Bad Review 1:  I chose this hotel earlier this week. May 22-24th based off reviews, location, & a more modern feel.
Our room was very difficult for two men to get ready in. I can't imagine what it would be like for anyone else.
There's a few things that need adjustments. The rooms could have been designed more space efficient considering you and your partner might have full sized luggage.
The space between the foot of the bed and tv is an unnecessary bulky block that connects to the wall the same length of the bed. So if you sleep on the window side of this room, you have to step up to then get over to the other side of the bed. The TV sits on a very bulky wall shelf (entertainment center) so rather save space by mounting the flat screen to the wall, you have that protruding out about 6 inches towards the bed. Giving you less than 24 inches between where the bed ends and tv begins. Making even more unnecessary junk. Unnecessary bulky cupboards near the bed, 2 sinks… ?? 1 near the bed which we couldn't use because our luggage needed to go somewhere and around towards the door is a kitchen with sink. The bathroom door sticks out in the hall.. I hit that with my leg a couple times.
The room, (for the very small size) could have been designed better)
The standing shower clogged each use taking 10 mins to drain and mind you, it was only maybe 1 inch below the main floor so we had to throw towels everywhere to keep it from flooding too far. (The issue wasn't fixed when I told them the first day but they only apologized for) so we learned to get wet, turn the water off, soap up, rinse, turn the water off, soap up, rinse. It was annoying.. even barely using water, it would still flood.

Very strange the receptionist don't have a proper desk but are forced to stand in the middle of the narrow small lobby. Plenty of room for a small desk and chair.

Overall, I would stay in a more traditional hotel since it would most likely be the same size room. This “modern” decor was simply unnecessary.

Google Bad Review (2):  Fantastic location but for the price (c£230 per night) was unfortunately, not really worth it.
As for the hotel itself, it’s a new, high-tech and compact with some minor issues that we reported to them whilst staying there such as vanity sink lights not working etc (made wife’s makeup application resemble the Joker out of Batman ).
All in all, there are better cheaper hotels around if you look.

Google Good Review:  2주간 가족여행으로 이곳에서 머물렀어요. 청소는 처음부터 안내해준데로 주2회 해줬어요. 쓰레기나 수건은 문 앞에 두면 수거해줍니다. 시설이 깔끔하고 위치가 좋아요. 간단한 요리를 할 수 있어서 아이와 함께하는 여행일때 정말 추천합니다. 그리고 매우 친절합니다. 세탁서비스가 저렴해서 빨래도 맡기는 데 부담이 없었어요.

Google Bad Review (2):  I rarely write reviews but in this case want to warn others as I did not have a good experience with Urban Retreats. The manager Lorraine did not give clear answers on several questions regarding staying there, was wishy washy on prices and what was included, and was unresponsive to follow up emails. In general I found the customer service to be very unprofessional and frustrating, which is a shame as the apartments look nice.

Google Bad Review (2):  We stayed at Minerva Court on Bowling Green Lane. It was a less than satisfactory experience. Traffic noise and late night partying was very loud. We are a family of four and they gave us only 2 rolls of toilet paper and 1 bar of miniature soap for the 5 days we stayed. The location is too far from a major Tube line which required train changes to get to the heart of London. The internet connection was weak and for 23 Pounds, only one device could be used at a time. Some of the appliances and lamps were too far away from the minimal outlets to be of use. There was a pot to heat water for instant coffee but no outlet in the kitchen to use. Clerkenwell is a nice neighborhood on the outskirts of the tourist areas of London, but we would recommend finding a more hospitable place to stay. The people at the leasing office (Acorn) were all very helpful.

Google Bad Review 1:  the internet connection at this hotel was practically inexistent. many networks, all led to nowhere. but it was just a start — there were so many things wrong with this hotel.

first, everyone considering staying here should know that housekeeping is on weekly basis, not everyday. yes, you will only get the room cleaned if you stay more than 7 days! this info is placed somewhere obscure, among a list of things people dont generally read when they purchase hotel service.

secondly, the hotel seems to go out of their way to make things inconvenient so you will purchase additional service. need an adaptor? it's £5. not provided for guest comfort/convenience like in regular hotel. need your room cleaned? it's £15 for studio type, £20 for one-BR type.

third, the pillows stink. very strong smell of sweat. even cheaper hotels would have replaced such pillows.

one more thing, my whole room shook whenever the next door neighboor or cleaning service went in and out.

it was the worst experience i had at a hotel, especially becoz i could have much more comfortable alternative for half of the cost. i thought i was treating myself a nice spacious room. what i got was a small, dark room with rusty appliances.

Google Bad Review (2):  (Translated by Google) It is true the first time I live in an apartment, but its price is the price of a four-star hotel and I expected services to be delivered in it for the price I paid! At least he gave credibility to pictures! The pictures are bocking something, and the reality is something nice! The rooms are like and old, and the days are very old. The bathroom is separated from the bathtub, the bedrooms are very small.
The housekeeping muffin, the bell captain, the receptionist, have no experience at all and are very complicated, I don’t know what
I never recommend it. If you were planning to live in the bathroom, this is a round, so you will book a four-star hotel at the price of this one.

Google Bad Review 1:  (Translated by Google) I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights now and it was awful. This hotel is not even worth a star. Everything is very small and when you come in from the main door, you get a heat. Our room was extremely hot and there was no air conditioning. The breakfast was not very varied. Typical English-breakfast with beans, bacon, eggs, etc. But nothing more. The tables and cutlery as well as the plates were also not clean. On the last day, my body began to itch. And it turned out that I was bitten by bed bugs. On my whole body are pustules that itch extremely. I do not know which person gave this hotel 4 stars. It's not even worth a star to me. The only positive about this hotel is that it is central. I have based on the rating and the four-star the hotel booked. But I want to warn everyone else. Do not book !!!

Ich war jetzt für 3 Nächte in diesem Hotel und es war schrecklich. Dieses Hotel ist nicht mal ein Stern wert. Alles ist sehr klein und wenn man schon von der Haupttür reinkommt, kommt einem eine Hitze entgegen. Unser Zimmer war extrem heiß und es gab keine Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück war auch nicht gerade abwechslungsreich. Typisches English-Breakfast mit Bohnen, Bacon, Eier, etc. Aber mehr auch nicht. Die Tische und das Besteck sowie die Teller waren ebenfalls nicht sauber. Am letzten Tag fing mein Körper an zu jucken. Und es hat sich herausgestellt, dass ich von Bettwanzen gebissen wurde. Auf meinem ganzen Körper sind Pusteln die extrem jucken. Ich weiß nicht welcher Mensch diesem Hotel 4 Sterne gegeben hat. Für mich ist es nicht mal ein Stern wert. Das einzig positive an diesem Hotel ist, dass es zentral ist. Ich hab anhand der Bewertung und der 4-Sterne das Hotel gebucht. Aber hiermit möchte ich alle anderen warnen. Bloß nicht buchen!!!
