During our search we had clear criteria that were not followed, we were showed flats way out of our budget and move in date despite reiterating these details multiple times. We went to at least 4 separate days of viewings where each time we had to ask “why are you showing us this?”. Once I was told to come down to the branch (1hr away from where lived) to see three properties, in the end I was only taken to one. An absolute waste of time.

Once we moved into a property it was full of issues (damp, dirt, broken intercom, filthy carpet, broken window and broken oven) and the landlord has refused to fix them. The landlord has not responded to us (do they even vet these people or just take anyone?). Now we are stuck in a two year contract where Foxtons will make us pay a hefty fee to leave by no fault of our own. We let the agency know but they have told us there is nothing they can do. I figured ‘this is London renting' and left it at that.

Today I've just found out that despite telling us they would, and making us wait to enter the property until the afternoon of the day we got the keys to do so, they DID NOT carry out an inventory. We know this will cause problems for the end of tenancy as the landlord is already rude and stingy.

This is a flat out unprofessional service. Avoid.
