Google Bad Review 1:  Parents be aware – I visited the cafe today with friends and my 8month old baby. Despite purchasing three adult meals and drinks I was told I was not allowed to feed my baby the weaning appropriate food I had prepared for him on the premises.

The manager made it very clear I had to purchase a kids meal for him which was unsuitable for stage 1 weaning – agreed to cream cheese sandwiches but these were too big and he could not hold and was also presented with choking hazards of raw carrots and grapes.

I think if you want to introduce a “baby tax” be honest about this and charge for use of the high chairs if you have to. Best avoided with small babies in my opinion.

Google Bad Review (2):  This is a really awful place and I am incredibly disappointed by my visit as I had heard such good things and was so looking forward to going.
They had an appealing looking menu and I really fancied a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich. On the menu they had the choice of a cheese and ham sandwich and a mozzarella and tomato sandwich. I asked if they could make me a cheese and tomato sandwich as I am not keen on mozzarella. They refused! They said it wasn't possible as it wasn't on the menu. My question therefore is, as they had the cheese and the tomatoes why couldn't they simply make me a cheese and tomato sandwich even though my request was off menu?
The state of the tables outside was just awful! They hadn't been cleared from previous customers and, therefore, hadn't been cleaned or disinfected.
As I say, I am really disappointed but there are lots of other lovely cafés in Barnet so unless there is a drastic improvement, I won't be back anytime soon. Sorry folks
