Google Bad Review 1:  Very dismissive manager and very unhelpful.

After calling the Southgate store and to check if they had stock of a specific TV this morning the very helpful member og staff had informed me they didn't but there was stock of it in Holborn. So i made a very long trip into the City and arrived 2 minutes before opening. When they opened one other person walked in before me. I was greeted by a member of staff there who seemed to be new but he was being as helpful as he can. I arrived with all my documents incase i decided to do a finance option as my mother had also wanted a TV. The young gentleman who served me had been told another member of staff would have to do the finance check. At this time it had become quite busy and as the store is tiny i said i would go outside for a couple of minutes to wait for the other member to get things started.

I then walked back in to be told by the bald man i assume was the manager that after telling me it would be done by someone that they could not process it as i came at the busy hour that i had to make an appointment! He then looked back down at his screen and never lifted his head again. I couldn't believe he was so dismissive of me, i was the second person in and when i had asked for the finance option there were only two other customers and at least 4 members of staff.

I honestly felt that i was dismissed being the only woman in there and I've had better service in Boots. I expected more than being dismissed like i wasn't worth serving from a company that has been awarded retailer of the year. If i was a mystery shopper they would have scored their only point for opening on time!

I will never use that branch again and would advise everyone to avoid the Holborn branch.

Google Bad Review (2):  Here's the thing about lying. When you lie to your customers, you'd think you'd a) take into consideration the chance that the customer can see through the lie, and b) accordingly lie in a sufficiently subtle way such that you can plausibly deny that you lied at all when you're called out.

The one staff member here did neither. He gave me such a grand lie that any idiot could see its preposterousness. He told me that the high end Shure closed back headphones he was trying to sell me had optical connectors. Optical. Flabbergasted, I asked him how that was possible, and where the DAC and amp were. He told me they were in the connector itself.

A DAC/amp built inside the connector.

Of course, the Shure SRH1540 headphones have regular wire connectors, like all other wired headphones.

If that's not a firable offense, I'm not sure what is. It's fraud. Par for the course at Richer Sounds.
