Google Bad Review 1:  AVOID. MDBS carried out an EICR on my flat. It failed and a lot of issues were identified which mounted to £1000 worth of work. I got a second opinion from another electrician and that EICR passed. The electrician commented that the report was very poor quality and a lot of things had been failed unnecessarily / were not even relevant for an EICR. They has also missed an isolator for my fridge. I contacted them to explain how unhappy I was and they never got back to me. My assumption is that MDBS had included these things in an effort to make money off me.

Google Bad Review (2):  Previous review checks out, as I had an entirely similar experience. Electrical safety inspection on let property, certificate with a host of C2 observations requiring “urgent” remedial work, quoted to a total of over £1000.

Consulted with other electricians, two of whom looked at the property and said most observations were nonsense. For instance, a whole new consumer unit, quoted for as urgent repair, was not needed at all. “Mechanical protection” requirements and repairs completely made up and quoted for. “Broken pendant” that needed replacement simply hadn't been screwed in properly by a tenant.

Absolute cowboys. Unless you want to be overcharged for unnecessary repairs, or want to pay for another more accurate inspection, then avoid this lot like the plague.
