Google Bad Review: I hate to write this review as Ben was such a nice guy. Unfortunately, I have one of those chiropractor horror stories. I injured my back doing squats last August, and got better and back to running within two months myself by easing off any high-impact/heavy weights. I went to see Ben in about late Jan/Feb as I had some residual stiffness when sitting for long-periods, and had some real weakness on one side eg when squatting. Unfortunately, I got some sciatic pains after my first appointment, which then led to a bulging disc after the second appointment. I don't know if it was the adjustments I had or the exercises I was given to do at home. More unfortunately, once your disc is messed up, you really do need to be careful. I went to a PT that got me lunging again (but no squats :-() and back in the gym, but then I properly herniated it (L4/L5 L5/S-1) carrying a heavy suitcase 2 months ago (stupid I know). So just please be careful! If you've got a dodgy back, just get it checked out, and pay for an MRI if you have to, or get a second opinion. I am sure my disc was already somewhat irritated when I went to see Ben, but I really do wish I had listened to my body after the first appointment. Prevention is better than cure!
