Not even close to something modern. The room where I had my examination, I don't even want to comment…
The doctor was nice, but it all left a feeling that they are pumping money out. They are forcing every visitor to take hygenist appointments. While I was waiting for my appointment, I heard a few people were booking these, so did my friend and then they tried to do the same trick on me.
You do the math 🙂

I was told that I need root canal treatment, and to get it I have to go to their partners(?) as they don't do it.
Good that I've changed the clinic, as turned out that I didn't need one.
Avoid.

Google Bad Review (2):  I rarely leave reviews but feel compelled to do so after my experience with Chrysanth Dental Care. Hopefully others reading this can use my experience to help inform their own choice of dentist, whilst also considering the clearly positive reviews that have been left by others.

Having not been to the dentist for five years, I decided to go to Chrysanth for a check up, largely because it had positive reviews online and because many other practices in the area weren't accepting new patients.

Following my appointment, I was billed for c. £1,000 for four new fillings, including the removal of an existing filling and warned of a possible root canal which would've come at a significant extra cost. This was then reduced to £865 when I made clear that a tiny chip in my tooth didn't needed repairing as it was purely aesthetic.

As this was obviously a large sum of money, I decided to go for a second opinion at a very reputable and well known practice in central London and specifically chose to book with a highly qualified doctor. For a £50 check up, she told me that my teeth were healthy and in good condition, and that no work was needed other than one scale and polish with a hygienist. All in all, what could have cost over £1,000 at Chrysanth (including my initial examination and chipped tooth) ended up costing £150, with her only comment being that she would keep an eye on some decay which she deemed to be perfectly manageable without the need for fillings.

I fully appreciate dentists have different approaches, but can't help feeling that the wildly different opinions of two qualified dentists is strange. I won't name anyone, but perhaps they were more inexperienced than some of the other dentists at Chrysanth and hopefully Chrysanth will be able to investigate this to ensure the proposed treatment plan was clinically necessary.
