Google Bad Review 1:  I called to know the the type of nationality they had from cleaner and they’ve said it’s confidential… I am not asking from one person specifically so don’t understand this. Also asked if they had anyone from Latin America and they’ve said that yes but I couldn’t choose because we don’t discriminate based on nationality… seriously, I am from Latin America and the reason I wanted someone from Latin America it’s because I know the way they clean and I speak the language (Spanish and Portuguese) which makes the communication a lot easier for both sides. I have had people from Eastern Europe for example that were absolutely lovely people but they struggle to understand my requests which cause delay and frustration in the end for the both of us and a lot of the cleaners from all nationalities in general don’t speak English very well. I do not appreciate being told off or the insinuation that I do discrimination simply because I think that speaking the same language makes things easier.

Just an update: received a call from one of them at first apologising but when I explained and said that I won't take my comment down he got really frustrated and said that would not stop calling me until I took the comment down because the one star in unfair for a 1 minute call. He tried to persuade me to take it down saying what people will think of me and that I must have had a bad day to leave a one star review as if this is my only job indeed. I explained that I never said I used their services in the comment and that The person who answers the call is part of the service besides the cleaner. I think people need to think whatever they wish and I didn’t do anything bad to anyone to be treated this way and have a very busy life to be taking rude calls from this company.

Google Bad Review (2):  It was a nightmare, stay away from them.
Surely you decided, like us, to hire them after reading google reviews or phrases on their website, like “Comprehensive £5m public liability cover” or “100% have at least six months' cleaning experience”, but please do not be fooled.

The first time they sent us a lady named Alex who had instructions to work 2 hours and a free extra hour that the company offers to new clients. Not only had this lady joined the staff less than a month ago, but complained over the entire first hour about what she had to do. As she was “tired”, she decided to leave an hour early. Cleaning express apologized and replaced it with Denka.

The first time with Denka went well, but then she began to arrive later and later and was absent twice, without any notice, which led us to the third replacement with Ms Vanesa Baiaram, where the worst happened.

At all times, we trust that the people sent by Cleaning Express were trustworthy, with experience of at least six months as advertised on their website and a criminal background check. Unfortunately, It wasn't the case.

Miss Baiaram stole from my husband's bedside table an expensive watch. At that moment, in January 2022, our ordeal began with Cleaning express.

We immediately reported it to the police and they informed us that this person was already being investigated for theft. Desperate, we called and wrote to Cleaning Express. As it was Saturday, it was closed.
That day the police went to Miss Baiaram's home but could not find her.

The following Monday, we expected someone from Cleaning Express to contact us, but nobody did. Instead, we had to call ourselves to ask for explanations. Even though they presume to have insurance, it was a 4-month nightmare! We continually had to request updates, send documentation, wait to be investigated by the insurance company, and accept the fact that they sent us a person without a criminal background check.

Finally, after a lot of twists and turns, the insurance informed us that they were only going to return the original value of the watch which meant £1,600 less than what it is currently valued. We were shocked. The insurance company made a mistake and sent us an email saying:

“Requesting confirmation of the replacement cost doesn't indicate the value of the settlement offer. It may have been requested in error, as the handler was mistakenly reviewing the claim on a New for Old basis”

We only claim to have the watch back or at least the opportunity to buy it again. It is the least that we expected from cleaning express and their insurance company, especially when someone on their staff stole us a watch. We wanted the watch back, but now, we can't afford it.

At all times, the only thing that the cleaning express company did was send us emails saying “be patient” and finally, apologize for not being able to do anything more about it.
