Hy husband ordered draft beer, we saw waiter coming with open bottle that we turned away with him, then he brought the full glass. After that my husband asked for refill and we were watching the guy for a while who put empty glass below the tap and was hesitant several times as we were looking and he noticed that all the time. Then we figured out with him and another guy that yes, first beer was of bottle. That's why he was so awkward getting second one while we were watching. Then, handwritten bill was overcharging us, that we noticed too, and guy said he will match it with menu prices and on the second attempt to charge we noticed he didn't do it. These 2 guys looked like the owners. So, I would suggest, quality of food is the same deceive they did with the beer and bill. At that time 2 of them were fiercely denying any cheating, and refused to do any courtesy discounts, so, obviously, it's a scam. They think if I don't look Indian, they can cheat on me. By the way, no Indian people were in the restaurant the whole time we were there, that does show something. Beware.

Google Bad Review 1:  We were convinced by one of the guys outside promising us free drinks during dinner and a set menu for 12 pounds each. Even after confirming with him that every drink will be free we received a bill of around 25 each person in which were include 13 pound for drinks.

As we told the guy outside before entering and later on to the staff any other non license bar in brick lane allow you to bring your own drinks from the shop. We could buy any bottle of wine for five quid and avoid paying that much if we were informed correctly.

In other terms the staff was rude during dinner and the portions were small for the average.

Avoid this place.

Google Bad Review (2):  I have been to Cinnamon and Aladdin (same kitchen) three times and have been ripped off every time. We agree on a price before we go in and then they add on extras and charge ridiculous amounts for popadoms. If you are in a big group they will try and tell you one of you hasn't paid the bill. Con artists! What kind of restaurant needs bouncers? One that rips people off every day. Food is decent, the people are not.
