Google Bad Review (2): My initial consultation at MensHair2Go was a confident experience which gave me a huge confidence boost to know that I could finally sort out my hair issues. On meeting Jay for the first time he showed me the systems which looked amazing, I was given one to try to see how it felt, and I was shocked at amazing it looked, being that it was only a demo. I did however question the colour claiming I thought it was too dark but Jay insisted it was a perfect match to my own hair colour & that it was only cause the system was wet following it being washed. I was convinced he was right being that he was the professional & matched hair systems everyday. I left but unfortunately contacted him several days later as I was not comfortable the colour was a match for mine to which I visited him again(this is quite a journey from where I live, bus, trains etc as no parking in the area). On the second visit a second sample was taken & again I was told it was the exact match but I just couldn’t see it & was told to just ‘stop worrying, it will look perfect, it’s only cause you’ve not been used to hair for so long’, So I agreed & paid the deposit.
I arrived for the fitting early & was seen within minutes & was greated by stylist Danielle who was going to fit my system & appeared polite & friendly. During the procedure I felt happy & confident that it would look exactly what I’d hoped for, but on test fit it appeared very heavy but comfortable.
When I informed Danielle of this she assured me that this would settled once it had been cut & fitted & glued into place. So I went ahead & continued the procedure.
During the cut I wasn’t sure if I had made a mistake, as the look of the system appeared out of control with real ‘fake tupay’ look to it which I didn’t feel happy with & again too dark!!!! Not far off black & my hair is medium/ light brown. Towards the end I asked if more could be taken off as it didn’t look right bring so long & I was told it was a good style for me & suites me but I didn’t like it, she did however trim it slightly but not enough to what I wanted. Before I know it I was done & led downstairs to pay, I was advised to purchase several products to manage the system which I wasn’t told about, I was initially under the impression I could just manage it like I would my own hair as I was led to believe. So I paid & left. I cannot express how sick & embarrassed I have been since having this system fitted, I contacted but no sympathy given, left feeling stressed & unsure about what to do. I have since been elsewhere for cut(more money) but still no improvement so was forced to remove & sadly shaved my head which left me absolutely horrified & gutted after everything I was hoping for. Advise to anyone wanting this system, go else where as you do NOT get what’s advertised. This has turned into my worst nightmare after feeling I could feel better as a man like I did before losing my hair. Absolutely crushed- MensHair2Go not a good company or quality of system regardless of other reviews- please be careful I can’t stress enough this has crushed my life atm & my bank account….
