They were invited to submit a maintenance proposal, and when they were told they were not successful and an alternative company had been selected; they became abusive, hostile, and demanded to paid for submitting their proposal. We refused to pay the amount demanded. To add insult to injury, they tried to coerce a staff member into signing a back-dated work order acknowledging work had been carried out – but thankfully were unsuccessful.
