Google Bad Review 1:  105 days and counting…

I hired the company to re-render the front of a small terraced house, and paid the start-of-work deposit on April 5. 105 days later – only 6-8 of which saw work being done – I still have scaffolding outside my window. (The skip left this morning).

The scaffolding was meant to be removed after inspection by Daniel, to confirm that on second attempt, the surface had no defects. (In my opinion it does, although nothing major. After the first attempt, his deputy happily reported “job done” – with rendering defects, a thumb-sized hole punched in my neighbor's render and, spectacularly, the rainwater downpipe not attached to the wall!) The visit was meant to happen a week ago, but it didn't, with no explanation – and then the same story played out today.

Of course, British weather provides an excuse, but “105 days” is really all you need to know. You spend months living with brick/render dust – damaging your entrance door, your floors and your family's lungs – including weeks with sealed windows, and spending time chasing KR. A project where you have to negotiate access with neighbours becomes a non-starter – they are not going to tolerate being annoyed for 3 months!

I did not pay for this experience, and I am very disappointed in Kent Rendering. If you decide to deal with them, simply make payments contingent on work – otherwise, you risk being treated like I was.
