Google Bad Review 1:  I would not recommend using this company.

We had called MM Electrical to get some work done in our office. They sent an electrician out to carry out the initial inspection. The contractor was super friendly and helpful, and it was a positive experience. He let us know that we required a replacement part and a quote would be sent to us. The quote came to over £400. We contacted the manufacturer directly to see how much the spare part should cost and they let us know it would be around £50 – £150 depending on the exact model. I contacted MM Electrical for the part number. For two weeks they avoided answering the question – saying ‘my colleague who deals with your file is not in today, I don't know where he is' or ‘there is no spare part number'. I told them it had been two weeks and we know there is a spare part number, otherwise they couldn't order the product from the manufacturer.

Eventually I was connected to the director to find out MM Electrical is a 2-man company, Ian (the director) and Eddy ( administrator). Ian spoke to me and said he can't give me the spare part number, to which I asked Why? At first he said, there's no spare part number and I said I contacted the manufacturer & they said there is. He then proceeded to give me an influx of excuses. Finally he said, we're not ordering it from the manufacturer and I asked if he was charging us £400 for a duplicate.

He then completely enraged and said to me – ‘I will not let a 20-something-whatever tell me how to run my business. I have been in business for almost 30 years, what do you know? Go ahead. I'm not scared. Do your worst.' I told him I'm not telling him how to run his business and he said ‘If I give you the part number, you will take your business elsewhere'. Every time I tried to speak after that, he interrupted me and told me I had no right in telling him how to run his business (all I said was it's not right to fight with your customer, as we had paid for the initial inspection already.)

There have been some other positive reviews in the past for this company, but I personally wouldn't recommend them for their service or their pricing.

Google Bad Review (2):  Awful customer service Ian Gayle is a crook and Eddy who I dealt with on the phone was not straightforward and lied about the service price and after providing the wrong service wanted more money!! Finally not only was the service shoddy it was unsafe as the electrician left a cable exposed! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! I cannot believe it is on NICEIC website and suggest it be removed as unfit.
