Google Bad Review 1:  I had a plumbing emergency – a water leak from the central heating pipe. The advisor offered a 2-4 hour engineer arrival service for £189 + VAT. Upon agreeing the price he said I will be charged a ‘non-refundable fee' over the phone to secure the booking of the engineer. Little I know I will be charged the whole sum for the service that is yet to be delivered leaving me with no rights to claim anything back in case poor service of the engineer. Called them straight away to cancel and ask for the money back but the advisor refused to do that referring to the company policy. I explained I'm happy to cover any administrative costs, caused by my cancellation but £220+ is way too much. I understand that a bunch of lawyers came up with T&C allowing them to do that legally but it is unfair and practically a rip off. I had spoken with a manager and he treated me with no respect and understanding whatsoever. I've been offered a 50% refund and acknowledged it is a ‘good will' and that they don't have to give me anything back because of the policy. It left me losing £110 since no service has been delivered. Absolutely shocking.
For people who are reading this review – avoid this company! Try calling local businesses instead, who are more client-oriented.
For management of Home Heat UK – your current policy is a legal rip off and you have shown total disregard to customers and customer service. Until it will remain unchanged, you get a well deserved 1-star since 0-star isn't an option.

Google Bad Review (2):  The worst experience of my life. They charge in advance, send engineer with no time or knowledge (asking for the instructions manual) only to say you need to change the most expensive part. Then, no contact to order the part leaving me with no hot water or heating for a week, plus rudeness received when I called. Luckily, as a consequence, I phoned someone else who fixed it in under 20 minutes with no parts involved. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
