Google Bad Review: So I was an assistant and member of the UCKG for 7 years, and they basically destroyed my life at the time.
They pushed me to attend church almost every day, apart from Tuesdays. They push you to give a lot of money to the church, but then turn around and say, ‘you are not obligated’ and then proceed to tell you what terrible things might happen if you do not give.
They isolated me from my family and friends who did not attend the church. They controlled and manipulated what I wore, (at one point, you wasn’t aloud to wear blue nail polish, you would be punished)
They controlled my education and future career plans. They basically controlled every area of my life.
I’m so glad I left that place. I was able to rebuild my life, and now I am so happy and FREE! Free to live my life, free to make my own decisions.
This is just the tip of the lce. They also ‘rebuke’ you if you try to complain or question the church, so there is no real complaints procedure in place.
My advice is, steer clear!
They put me though HELL! I’m now only starting to heal from the hurt and trauma they subjected me to.
BEWARE! Seriously.
