Google Bad Review 1:  Christening cancelled due to Covid. John has been nothing but rude, unfair and unproffessional. Constant blanks and claims he has every right to keep hold of pre paid monies as he has already provided a service (even though the event did not go ahead!). The service he claims he has provided was a free non obligational quote and a free party planner (as advertised on his website). The ‘party planner' I did not plan on using (as was basic and generic and you could clearly see no time had been spent on it) – Kids to play musical bumps from 12 -2, music to be played in between. I did not confirm I would be using it nor did I request it. JMF disco's own contract and government guidelines state I am rightfully due a full refund of all pre paid fees even though at the time of booking they were non refundable. John's own contract states due to a whole list of reasons (a pandemic being one of them!) and where no new date can be given, a full refund would be due. But when questioning this John then claims my money will not be returned due to the time he has spent on the party planner, providing the quote and a fee towards his socials ie his website and Instagram page. I am also not obliged to accept credit, but also when asking about this, I was told if the date was moved, it would incur further fees and he cannot guarantee that he could perform on the new date given – again how is that being decent in these times, no one expected a pandemic and even knows currently what next year will look like. I don't expect a guaranteed new date, I expect to be treated fairly and not to be and palmed off claiming that you are keeping my money as you have already provided me your services, that you have clearly not. Has a ‘that's too bad about that' and sarcastic attitude. Could of been dealt with so differently if there was just a bit of human decency. Due to the lack of responses, a complaint is due. I would advise JMF Disco to put the hard earnt money of others that you are keeping to good use and hire a professional to sort out your socials and party plan ideas as they are clearly dated, if that's what you claim to charge for and the reason you are keeping my money, its clearly not being spent very well.
