Google Bad Review 1:  I have to reiterate the comments of another reviewer about the cost of their stock. I also go into charity shops on a weekly basis and a few do take the biscuit for their pricing structure. This one sells CD's, the now nearly obsolete medium to play music, at £2 each. I recently went to a charity shop in Upminster selling 10 DVD's or CD's for £1. It makes sense, price low and get rid of more stock. It is better to clear the shelves promptly to allow stock rotation and give punters more choice. Volunteers in a lot of charity shops don't rotate stock and hence the store sells less.

I will shop in other stores where I will pay secondhand prices for secondhand goods.

I found a silver ring in it which had a stone missing and I thought £4 was still too much because silver is not a very expensive metal but I still decided to buy it. Silver is not like gold. The man at the shop realised it is silver and was about to tell me that he thinks it will be more than £4, so I said to him that I will leave it. He still went to the back to ask if it is £4 and came back and told me that it is not priced at £4 when I already said to him that I will leave it.

Google Bad Review 1:  I personally spent my time researching on head and neck cancer as my grandmother passed from cancer.
So, I obviously would shop in cancer research to support the charity but…

The staff are so rude, patronising and condescending.
The manager let a pregnant woman go to the toilet and I wasn’t allowed although I (was) pregnant myself.
On another occasion, one of the cashiers took my staff from my hand saying they weren’t for sale.

They don’t even have a college diploma, not to think of a university degree and act like doctors or so.

I’m shopping at British Heart Foundation now, they are so much nicer and welcoming. The prices are also low !

Google Bad Review (2):  I had a very poor experience here on July 31, 2022. Having checked online that this shop was open on a Sunday and accepting items, my daughters and I drove to Bromley with sacks of good quality clothes and boxes of pristeen books at 4pm We were ignored initially and then told off by the sole assistant (who was an older woman probably in her 50s) that she had just locked the stockroom and wasn't taking any more items! She said they were closing soon and we could come back tomorrow. She simply could be bothered to open the the stockroom. I politely asked her to reconsider as the boxes were really heavy and it had taken the three of us to carry them and that online it said they closed at 5pm, otherwise we would not have made the trip – particularly as we were tired from having a clear out. She flatly refused until a customer in the shop approached us about the books and wanted to buy some. She then told the customer off for looking! She then accepted the boxes of book, but not the clothes and then refused the customer from looking at the books. It felt like she had a real chip on her shoulder and this was some sort of power trip over people she ordinarily would not be able to speak to in such a rude and condescending way. I apologised to the customer and I certainly will never go there again. I think BHF ought to consider manners and motivation when recruiting volunteers to run this Bromley branch. It is a charity shop after all, and no one goes in to be disrespected. I understand some unskilled people work in charity shops to gain experience for the wider workplace, and if this older woman was trying to learn customer service skills, she has failed. If she has been working here for some time, the other reviews about poor staff here make sense, and I wish I had read them before making the trip.

I found a silver ring in it which had a stone missing and I thought £4 was still too much because silver is not a very expensive metal but I still decided to buy it. Silver is not like gold. The man at the shop realised it is silver and was about to tell me that he thinks it will be more than £4, so I said to him that I will leave it. He still went to the back to ask if it is £4 and came back and told me that it is not priced at £4 when I already said to him that I will leave it.
