Google Bad Review 1:  Went for my consultation! The nurse was wonderful and so was the Dr. I felt very comfortable. Called Sarah king that does their sales I believe, left her 4 messages about scheduling and just had a couple of questions, she never called me back. I now have a consultation with another Dr. Pretty disappointing, had my surgical day all figured out, talk to my work and was ready to pull the trigger. Hopefully the new Dr staff will be more attentive. I’m sure the Dr will not be so appreciative know why I’m going somewhere else!

Google Bad Review (2):  I went to see Dr. Nuveen for an Asian blepharoplasty. I called in 3-4 months ahead and asked whether he was experience in Asian double eyelid – the answer I got was vague, but the gal on the phone praised him and explained to me how the surgery would be done. I had a same day surgery and consultation – when I went in – I had no idea what would be done – I was hoping Dr. Nuveen would know more about Asian double eyelid surgery and explain it. But, he came in and asked me what my goals were – I told him my expectations – that I wanted bigger creases – obvious results. He placed a paper clip on my eyelid and when I asked him if that was how high it would be, because I was concerned – he didn't say much and drew on them – once he was done he asked me if his intern could draw on my other eye – I allowed it only because I didn't want to doubt their expertise. After that I looked in the mirror and realized the markings were uneven, but I didn't say anything, again I thought Dr. Nuveen would see this and fix it during surgery – but I was wrong. After surgery all I remember was waking up in my Mom's car and heading home. I was shocked when I was aware that they had performed surgery on the uneven markings. 3 weeks into the healing phase – one eye looked sunken and hollow – the other had multiple creases from scarring. I was appalled and depressed by the results – I contacted his nurse via email and was informed that these were the expected results at this time and any other concern must be addressed in person. When I texted Dr. Nuveen about how high my creases were “mm” after I consulted second expert opinion – he told me that he gave me 10 mm creases. Second opinion by other facial and eye specialist stated that 7 mm and under was the preferred crease height because it keeps the Asian features. Second expert opinion also agreed by my pictures that my left eye had more fat taken out causing it to look sunken and hollow. I was informed that if I wanted revision I would need to wait 6 months to a 1 year to heal completely. I been told that my eyelids looked hideous and unnatural – this experience has left me emotionally and physically scarred – I am scared to trust people to make permanent changes to my face and body now fearing for a worse outcome again. However, I know revision will need to be done and I will do more research to find the best specialist to fix what Dr. Nuveen has done. I would not recommend him to anyone – he spends less time explaining and I absolutely believe that he does not have any experience in Asian double eyelid surgery. Looking over the internet and comparing my results to other Asian double eyelid surgery mines are nothing close to the desire results I wanted and not natural looking at all – you can clearly see the scars and poor results from the surgery obviously. I hate having to look in the mirror now because I just hate the results and feel like what has been done took away my ethnic features.
