Google Bad Review 1: I have used this pub frequently but only for meals. They offer 2 main meals for £8 and it is excellent value. We have tried the fish and chips and the gammon stake with chips. Both are always freshly cooked, adequate in size for the price and tasty. Our visits have been early afternoon. At this time there is only one person behind the bar and they are not always there. Staff are very polite and efficient. The pub is never any where near full. Sometimes the background music is a bit loud but they will turn it down in certain areas if asked. The main clientèle is middle aged upwards during the day and they are not at all noisy. Environment is very basic, they do have a big screen sports TV on, and just about clean but don't drop your food on the floor! Sometimes they run out of the fish and chips for the meal deal as they seem to have a limited supply of the ‘smaller' fish portions. The regular fish portions are available but not on the meal deal.
In summary, good pub for a reasonable meal, never crowded but basic.Park outside or just round the corner but charged as is all of Beckenham.
