Google Bad Review: I wanted to write my experience. When I see so many positive reviews I think were they from friends and family of Waqas and his team, just to artificially inflate a positive result? Or was my negative experience personal, based maybe because of my culture or background, religion or something that happened in the past with my dealings with him.
I enquired here recently. I was looking to get my taxes sorted for the past few years as they had got messy, having worked self employed and employed. I came to these guys since past dealings seemed fair, I was on their email list and thought I should use them as Waqas seemed helpful.
I came to them looking to get my personal taxes sorted out and then go one to use them for a business I was looking to launch.
Sadly even saying this I have felt manipulated, condescended and stolen from.
I saw Mohsin at the branch. He seemed nice enough but I see after it is more of a front. He quoted me I think £30 a month for all the months and years I wanted to get taxes complete on, about years. I felt unsure as I felt like he didn't talk about the work involved, it was no more than a standard costing he could have given me over the phone, but he then produced 2 forms that he said about representing me to HMRC so they could check the taxes I paid already. Fair enough I thought.
After the meeting I just felt off. Something seemed wrong. Maybe it was the cost for of accounting added up to pay those years? Maybe it was fear of tax cost? I couldn't work it out.
Sadly my further conversations with Moshin after deteriorated. I paid the £120 for them to register me to the HMRC (which another solicitor did for me for free)! My communications with Mohsin in email seemed exhausting. I had paid the money but his tone seemed condescending. I felt like he hadn't listened in our meeting but it was like dealing with my stuff was just a chore for him to get paid.
I complained about Mohsin's attiude but Waqas was unsympathetic. He wasn't helpful nor wanted to listen or agree to what I said.
Eventually I did find an accountant to deal with my taxes, someone who actually wanted to earn money to do them.
However the final part came when I asked Accotax for a refund on a tax service I didn't get. They refunded only £30 back to me.
They sent me a scan of a document which required clients to pay £75+VAT for cancelling with them. And a page with my signature on it without any page number or anything linking it to these conditions I apparently signed!!
I am sad that if a company is so bitter about business they caused to be lost, they would attempt theft and forgery.
I can't speak for the experience of others but if they make you sign anything at this company get a copy to take home so they can't make an excuse to steal from you!
I am now looking through the small claims court to get my £90 back. I hope others don't find themselves in the same position I have been in.
