Google Bad Review 1:  My colleague and I had read the reviews for Blush and Blow and saw it as an obvious choice for us to get a nice blow dry before our Christmas party. We were both heading into London, no district line to parsons green so we had to make alternate arrangements from earls court. As we were subsequently delayed, I phoned the salon and notified them we would be around 5 minutes late for our appointment, at no point did anyone mention there was a problem with this.

Once we arrived, first impressions weren't great, lovely salon, beautifully presented but an unwelcoming atmosphere. We gave our names and were then told only one of us could have our hair done because we were late. We were somewhat amazed by how rude the member of staff was, as there was no warning of this and they made us feel like an inconvenience. Not a good start.
She offered to tong my hair which for £30 is just not good enough, something I could do myself, I had chosen to come to Blush and Blow to have my hair washed, relax and come out with big bouncy hair. Unfortunately this ideal was quickly fading, they washed our hair but the lady who was supposed to see me said she had another appointment in 20 minutes and can't delay others (which is fair enough). As a compromise I thought she would perhaps dry my hair until her next client arrived but alas, I sat with the towel on my head unattended while I watched my colleague get hers done. What annoyed me however was that I could see the Girl who was supposed to be tending to me chatting away out the back. Instead of using her time efficiently she did the opposite.

We weren't offered any Prosecco, although we could see it when we arrived. I had my hair done the previous week in a Toni and Guy salon and was offered several glasses, given the time of year I feel this is something nice to offer as a token. We had a fairly young member of staff tend to both of us, it appeared only two people on hand, perhaps they need to hire more staff but there was no conversation from the staff, I was eventually offered a coffee but again the attitude of the staff was appalling.

Eventually it came to my turn to get my hair done, the girl was nice, I said my hair was very fine but a lot of it and takes a long time to dry, anyone knows that when blow drying, hair needs to be mostly dry, it was being pinned up damp and i knew this wouldn't stick.

I never thought i'd be the person to write quite an in depth review about these things, but I genuinely was so dissatisfied with the service we received, I really thought it would be a lovely environment, we'd have a glass of bubbles, a good chat and leave excited for our party. Instead we left deflated, ripped off and went home to redo our hair.

Perhaps it depends on who is working, but if that is the case then that's wrong. I suggest the owner of this salon sends her staff on a customer service refresher so that no one else will experience what we did.

I won't be returning i'm afraid.

Google Bad Review (2):  This salon was really nice but the quality of the gel they use is terrible. I went two days ago for a gel manicure and 4 of my nails have already chipped. Bear in mind the most manual labour I've done over those two days is a bit of typing on a laptop.

I thought paying more money (and yes, it is a fair bit of money) would result in better quality but apparently not. A real shame as I was having them done specially for Christmas and now my nails will look terrible at all the events I'm going to. They might be good for hair, I wouldn't know but I would avoid ever getting gel done here again.

They do have a salon dog though so I can't be too harsh.
