Google Bad Review (2):  If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely appalled at the way we were teated during our last visit to The Hadley public house. We are new to the area and this is our local pub. My husband had friends come to stay last weekend and was very excited about showing them our local traditional pub.

On entering we were greated by a nice young lady who served us straight away. Children are welcome until 8pm according to their sign on the entrance. This I feel should be changed to children over 10 years of age welcome until 8pm.

We have two under two and our friends have two children under 4. Our two babies were at one point making a little noise but our two older children were playing nicely together and being very well behaved. An older lady who was sitting drinking with friends at the end of the bar approached my husband. I assume she was the landlady. She told him the children had to sit down and stormed off. I stress they were not causing any problems but I think the noise of the babies was offending her. The middle aged lady then continued to stare at me in an intimidating manner and we just wanted to leave as soon as possible.

You could hear a pin drop when they were quiet, the pub has very little atmosphere on a Saturday evening. If I were to visit on a date night with my husband I would feel the need to whisper.

Needless to say we were very embarrassed in front of our friends. I feel sad for my husband as he loved the idea of a traditional pub near by. We will not be visiting again and would urge anybody with children to think twice.
